The one issue I see with this thread is if two of us want the same item. I don't really want to get in a bidding war with someone who was nice about my army or who gave me some painting tips. Perhaps it might be worth having a policy of mentioning when we're intending to bid on something? That way if two of us want the same item we can come to some kind of agreement via PM, either to split the winnings if it's something large or for one to hold off in exchange for the other guy holding off next time the same thing happens?
Neither of those options are really that feasible, but I'd rather avoid falling out with anyone here because of ebay.

Well, it's nicer to see someone who'll use a model get it, but ultimately, if anyone but me wins an auction then I don't get the figure I wanted. It makes no odds where it goes afterwards if what I wanted was to have the item myself.
What choice do any of us have? We're all posting here because we want Chaos Dwarf figures: the reason I dislike essexgirl is because she's making it harder for anyone who wants such items to get them - and that includes me. The reason I was so skeptical of iamahobgoblin's scheme was because I thought it depended too much on pure altruism. Yeah, I want Chaos Dwarf figures to go to Chaos Dwarf players rather than someone who's just trying to screw over those same players, but if I had to pick a particular player to have them, it would be myself.
I don't think I'm being unreasonable, because everyone is thinking the same thing, I'll wager - and that's exactly why I suggested the "gentleman's agreement" system. I'm not going to give up on an auction I want to win just because someone else here wants it too, so there needs to be something to deal with the situation when there's a conflict for the idea behind this thread to work.
Yeah, I'm just trying to preempt any problems that might arise when two people who want an item someone else links to. It'd be silly to have a bidding war when we can work out a deal on this forum instead.

Why not have a list that shows our ebay names. We could have a thread opened just for such a purpose. Simply enough, if someone winning an auction is not on the list, then they are not one of us, and you should feel free to outbid them. Or outbid them if you really wnt to, but at least we will know it's going to one of us!
This would have to be done in such a way as to not let people know who's ebay handle was who's to stop any potential arguements. If we PM our ebay IDs to a MOD or to ADMIN and get them to add us to the list, then only they would have the info and if thy abuse it, let them burn in the fires of Hashut's fury!
Off-topic somewhat, but it's looking increasingly like I've been stung in a recent transaction. I saw a Hellcannon for a "Buy it Now" price of £20 and snapped it up. That was three weeks ago, and still no sign. The seller's sent two messages, the first blaming personal circumstances for a delay in posting and a second saying it was sent last week.
Always annoying.

SWSNBN never bids that much (keeps the profit margin up), so the postage discount should be enough to keep them with CDO members without having to pay too much.
you can get it for around 15-20 usually so id advise that one is a little overpriced
I've had to re-list my stuff because of a none paying, none emailing, none responding to dispute console, waste-3-weeks-of-my-life-on-this-stupid-bloody-dispute-console b*st*rd!!! As before, CDO members can have free postage in the uk or half price o/seas postage if they PM me after winning.

rolljordan : Remember Biklinc is just a collector and not there to make a profit. He is buying stuff to keep and not resale for profit. So he is paying what he believe is worth to obtain such pieces.

i painted these guys last year and sold them on ebay for £10 each hoping they would go to a genuine collector . i am by no means a 'pro painter' . the fact that they appeared for sale in warhammer crazy store the next week was really dismaying to say the least, not to mention the 150% price mark up and the false title. how on earth you can say that guy has nothing to do with the store and is a genuine collector is beyond me, he bids on every single chaos dwarf auction and has been doing so for years , and he wins 75% of them.

Somehow, I just nabbed a Sorcerer on Lammasu (painted, but it didn't look thick enough to be a problem) for £14 including p&p! It was £9.99 Buy It Now and I have no idea why someone didn't nab it before I saw it. I only went on ebay on a random whim.
