UPDATE: I'm still tracking the large lot out there. Its up to $153.50 US as of right now. Wish me luck because should I win it a large chunk of the army will be offered here first at competive prices.
sorry can't do links from the iPhone at least not yet. Do a search in eBay its ending in 4-5 hours. Word of caution, I will be bidding quite a bit.
Ah the joys of eBay. lost out in the end, my maximum bid 255.99 sold for 254.56. At that price the bidding needed to be in 1.50 increments. So how much did I lose by boys and girls... 7 cents.... Couldn't get the $260.00 bit in fast enough. Oh well, win some, lose some I guess.
Unlucky with that lot Willmark looked tasty those US shipping only lots never go as high as worldwide and i have met sellers who wont send abroard cause of US postal probs.
If I was a hatter type of CD I'd be mad. Since I'm a non-beardy, helmet/mask type of CD it doesn't make much difference.
Crap! lost out on a Chaos Dwarf Whirlwind by 1.00! I did beat out SWSNBN thou, however her bidding did drive up the price.
She is now getting beaten regularly on Chaos Dwarf auctions.
"She Who Shall Not Be Named" you of all people should know WHO that is...
We all knew that some eBayers are setting ridiculous prices for CDs, but this really puts it in perspective:
Try this:
http://www.westegg.com/inflation/
The price of Astragoth in 1995 (White Dwarf #185- May 1995, to be exact) was $8.50. Accounting for inflation...
What cost $8.50 in 1995 would cost $11.15 in 2006.
So looking at a certain someone's eBay prices for said Astragoth: $39.82
In other words a profit margin of nearly 5 times the original price of the item. This becomes especially egregious when one looks at the rate of inflation. Of course some could claim cost of bidding, scarcity, etc... all of which are more or less subjective... and what do you have: Something that cost $8.50 in 1995 going for $39.82 11 years later...
Boggles the mind doesn't it?
I dont think SWSNBN is the same biklinictoo. Her game is bid low on its that she hopes nobody sees. The other's MO is to just bid on anything in sight.
Pyro you might want to go fight someone or drink lots of beer, punch someone, belch and fart, etc... to counteract the Brokeback vibe going on there...
Crap, there goes the neighborhood!
These vultureBay a-holes really need to get they hell off eBay.
Hey thanks for the heads up. I think I might try for the army book.
I dont need it or it would have been gone by now. Now has anyone seen and signs of a Taurus at a reasonable price?
Yeah I'm watching that one now bit more then I want to pay thou.
Hmmm page not reponding, is the link correct?
Still not working. Comes up with "link not fond in German... (At least thats what i think it says).
Anyways I have something lined up for a Taurus, should be all set. thanks for looking there Pyro.
Of course they can just buy under a different id.The prices they are paying for items is rising swsnbn just bought ES for £21 and biklinictoo just bought 28 metal cd inc two commands for £56(a good deal there)
Some lots (those bid on by volmacsweden and rotcivitbat) are going astronomically high but they obviously cant wait and are capable of painting there figures very quickly

Unfortunately I don't think that is the case. Right now the prices are spiraling up with no end in sight. I think that volmacsweden and rotcivitbat are "dealers" just like biklinictoo and SWSNBN. Sad really. Not so much for me but for those that are hatters I feel for ya.
I'm with ya there Steve. Most likely some noob who has no idea that it costs him more money to do so or didn't pay attention to that little detail. Plus the shots are from way too far away to make out much if any detail at all.
