Astounding work. ~Looks over your miniatures~

Honestly the only thing I MIGHT change is the capes. Try and give the cloth a little more waviness or supple texture in the detail. Kind of hard to explain how I would want to state this....but a suggestion might be to put more waves in between the larger ones. Reason being is to give them more depth when you highlight and ink them, or blend them. Assuming of course that is your plan of action.

Other then that, they look solid. Excellent work man. Something to be proud of.
Very solid work!  I really like the mini-chaos-warrior idea, it makes me think of the old Norse Dwarf fluff kickin around in the Man O' War era.  As everyone else has said, the only real flaw in your sculpting are the capes, but damned if I know how to do them better so props to you, sir Takes Hat off !
Looking great!  Finally someone has put the helmet where it belongs: hunched int he shoulders!  Well done, these are looking excellent!
Great start to your army! Good use of chaos warrior helmets.

Looking good there, those helmets actually work the way you have done them! Regarding the capes, if the problem is smoothness then painting a layer of PVA glue might help, its some thing i used in the past when i just couldnt get rid of the fingerprints! only enough to fill out any imperfections though! don't go mad! Again, they are looking great. Happy
This topic ought to be in the conversion section ...  It would be more archivable.  Blogs should be for the collected army as a whole, kinda...  Having a topic for the conversion helps the archiving process too, and will make it easier for others to find your conversions.

Or you could keep adding to this blog and make a separate thread in the conversion section for each conversion you do. Happy
I'm not really a Big Hat fan, but I have to say that the Hat came out really well.
You must be pretty happy with it, i'd imagine.
Looks great!  I particularly like the wolf conversion, that was very clever.  The base is cool too, it's kind of like what I tried to do with my Tzeentch army, except yours looks good and mine look kind of off Angry.  Can't wait for the hero next week!
That wolf does indeed look excellent.

Man that mount is awesome! Looks really evil, another good use of the Khan model and looks in touch with a Chaos Dwarf army.
That mount is awesome and i think i might steal the idea of the hot coals and embers dotted around the base. It has a great effect.
Wow, that would have been a serious contender!

Nice work!
Wow, great stuff!  Love that Sorcerer.
@Hammerhand: Do this for your lave. Right now. Rad Gore undercoat, Blood Red highlights, Blazing Orange highlights, Firey Orange Highlights, Sunburst yellow highlights and finally Bad Moon Yellow highlights. Thats what i do and it works fine.
You could always use either this unit or the old units as "Immortals" (use normal rules, just they look different Big Grin ). It'll be good to see a unit of them done. I couldn;t tell at first that it was a shortened Chaos warrior. However, looking at the shoulder pads, I can see it. You can't see the base model well enough to think of it, which is a good thing. Makes your army a separate entity Wink
I think it doesn;t look too normal. It looks a little more realistic, in an abstract way. Which, I like and think some areas of Warhammer could do with more of. (Although, some could do with less of Big Grin )
