This past weekend was the Sacrament Area Wargame Society yearly  Indy GT, a gathering of around 60 gamers in a 2 day 5 round tourney.

I rushed to get my 2250 of chaos dwarfs ready for this years SAWS challenge, and managed to get them close to painted up. My list was basically:

Lord on bull taurus, armor of furnace, black hammer
bull centaur hero, GW, 1+ armor and guantlets
sorcerer with 2 scrolls
hobgob hero with great weapon
25 chaos dwarfs with banner
20 CD with GW with banner
24 naked hobgobs
10 naked hobgobs x3
4 bolt throwers
earthshaker
5 bull centaurs with GW

Round 1 was vs lizards.. 2nd gen slaan with 16 temple guard, 3x10 skinks 3x3 krox, 6 saurus cav joined by 2 heros on cold ones.
I screened dwarfs with slaves and let him magic the snot out of them as I got in his slaan unit's flank with centaurs and lord on bull taurus. My bolt throwers shot down all the saurus cav. He gave up on 4th turn when his slaan was alone and broke by my lord.

Round 2 was vs a guy from my club, slaneesh demon prince, 2 mages, few units of marauder cav, furies, chaos knights, 2 chariots, minotaurs, dragon ogres, 2 spawn.. everything fast and hitty
The scenario was an odd one where units had to roll to come on the bord, I had bad rolls and by the 3rd turn he was eating my war machines that came on unsupported. I lost badly as I have no solution to his army and bad dice.

more to come.. one more loss for day one followed by 2 wins on day 2
Round 3 was vs another guy from my group, Leadership2, khorne knight heavy chaos army.. knights and more knights and dragon ogres and khorne heros and furies, with some hounds to manage frenzy. My war machines couldn't hit squat.. my lord on taurus hit the flank of knights and failed to do anything ran away only to be chased down by minotaurs later. I could have won given some more practice vs this kind of wicked list.

Round 4 was facing dwarfs. 2 slayer characters, 3 blocks of 25 slayers, 25 warriors, 3 runed up bolt throwers, goblin hewer, organ gun, 2x10 thunderers, 10 scouting dwarfs. Capture the objective worth loads of points. Wolves and lord on taurus ran up one flank and centaurs with hero the other, blunderbussers ran up the center. My 2x14 blunders ate one block of the 25 slayers, another slowly went down to 24 hobgobs in front, 10 wolfs in flank, centaur hero in other flank.
My taurus died when he dedicated all his war machines to shooting it one round, organ guns are evil as is S7 bolt throwers that hit on 2s. It was a close game, but I held the objective easy thanks to pulling 2 of his big blocks off to either flank and killing the 2 sent up the center. Lesson learned.. just hide the bull when facing loads of dwarf warmachines. Another win for me.. yay

Round 4 was vs chaos mortals, heavy on the blocks of infantry and super chaos warriors. with a river down the middle of the table and my earthshaker connecting it was gonna be impossible for him to get to me. My bull taurus riding lord flew into the flank of a big block of mauraders and took out half his army before being killed by his chaos lord. my bull centaurs ate his chaos knights, goblins beat up mauraders with a flank charge, everything went my way and he ended with under 10 infantry on the table.. massive victory for me.

Overall I ended up 11th out of 60, only defeated by 2 guys from my own group who placed in the top 10. The army and conversions drew a lot of interest despite not being finished.
sounds like you did pretty well considering the armies you faced were the type we dont usually do well against

congrats
Nice score, well done

They lets you enter the tounament with an unfinshed army? odd...
Most tournaments let you enter with unpainted models, it just really hurts your score.
My models were painted to a lame level, but painted.

Its the fast low model count armies that slaughter me.
