Man, some great entrys... This site continues to churn out great results.

A couple of realy nice entrys there, my two favoreites being number 1 and number 8.

However, im not a fan of back banners and I dont like the head so much on number 8.
I also loke the hat/masky thang on nubmer one and the realy nice paint job (think metallics).

Quite small pictures! But from what I can see, the pose and paint job of entry 7 are really cool. This boy has the right attitude!

I have to say though that he looks too much like a gnoblar, for the nose mainly. I also think the skin tone is quite un-greenskin-ish. My vote goes to no. 1, strong colours, great metallics and the right level of sneakyness. ^^

i voted for 8, i love the style of him but it was a hard decision as there are some great entries.
Inspired stuff love them all.

Dont know if this is the right place for this, but maybe this could be changed to 'Dont forget to vote for your favorite Golden Hat Entry!'

Argh, so many nice entries. I have no idea who I'm voting for, and I don't want to vote for mine. Not sure which one I like best; 1 is just plain cool and has a wicked dark paint job, 7 has an interesting colour scheme and a nice pose, and 8 has the classic mongul look and the wolf looks awesome.  This is going to be a hard decision.

Great conversions here, from the subtle to the extravagant and from the hilarious (bunny ears on a squig, I never thought I'd see the day!) to the horrifying!
It comes down to 2 for me though,
#7 would be the one I would take in my army through personal preference, great conversion. Well Done
#8 is how I always pictured Hobgoblins, one of the best looking wolves I've seen and a hero that looks like a hero!

I voted for the sixth entry as I think it really rocks! The idea is great and the painting is very good. A close second was the 8th entry and the squig-bunny (1st) was simply hilarious! No wonder so many people vote for these.

So many great conversions/paintjobs here - but I have to chose only one - wright?
It's nice to see so many new ideas how to represent the hobbos - and #1 and #7 are really great examples of this "new look", but they are not hobbos - just beautiful gnoblars and gobbos-slaves IMO - sorry!

I will also vote for the classic mongul wolf rider. #8 is exactly how I always have pictured a Wolf Riding Hero and the paintjob is brilliant preformed. And definitely the best GW wolf I have seen.

I look forward to hear how this convertion was made!

That would be a good idea i voted for 8 but all are really good and deserve a mention for being wonderful takes that fit really well with there creators armies.
For my very simple conversion i ended up posting an earlier WIP picture because after another days painting i just couldnt get a clear pic(after over 30 attempts) using a tripod too!

He really looks like an arrogant son of a...hobbo.
The sculpting is great and the painting looks really crisp. I also quite like the backbanners.
And the pose of the wolf is just brilliant, like he's lurking for some prey.
Gotta love that squig-bunny though .
You can see the quality of the entries improve every competition.

First, to all of you, great models. Nice work, well done!  

For me, it was either #1 or #8, both really nice modells with a lot of inspirational ideas.
But then, finally, I voted for #1. Mostly because my girlfriend forced me to do.
...rabbit ears... *g*

Wow number one is gooood,really good.
But it is a shame that only number 1 and number 8 are competing against each other because the are really,really good.
Tere are many good hobs here but if i have to pic one it has to be 1.

I was torn, like so many of you between 1 and 8. In the end I chose 8 because a) It looks like my idea of a hobgoblin khan of the steepes and b) The reposed wlf and quality basing really makes the model look superb

Number 8. A green Ghengis Khan. As mongolian as it must be.

Maybe the next golden hat should be for a core unit, to encourage people to get theri armies done...

or bull centaur lord.  that might make for some inspired creations...and perhaps less mismatched votes.

Or maybe we could concentrate on the current GH first?
