You should get hold of some old Swivel Guns and some Crossbowmen to place around the sides of the boat to give it some extra firepower. And use the Empire Rocket Battery
Some Rackham Goblins would make excellent Hobgoblin seamen.
A converted HellCannon might be a more viable option.

I got my Great Leveller Battlebarge today so i will paint it (awesomely) and post pics when its done. It even came with a small flag.
I think they were the best looking ships in the game. I did have a good picture of the GW painted models but I cut it out of WD and lost it somewhere.

this picture out. Man, I wish I had gotten into Man O' War now and not when I was 8 years old and unable to paint/collect intelligently. I have a couple of dozen ships but they are all a hodgepodge of fleets and the painting is, shall we say, not good. I needs a time machine.

Hey I never said I believed the Hats would return. As much as I love them I am realistic enough to acknowledge the fact that I am perhaps one of only very few Hat lovers out there. And I would never complain about them not returning as I am very much aware that the hats were one of the main reasons the first AB failed. I want an army book. Thats all. You people can gladly keep your fancy new models. I am sticking with my big hats forever and ever. Oh, and the sillynes(spelling?) is all about perception (and paint, definetly paint) It is very much possible to make big hats look scary. Just look at Ishkurs models. Or mine for that matter if I ever get around to posting some pics.

I love my big hat models as well and i decided that if they get remade without hats then i would use my hat models as elite infantry or something and use them like a guard/retinue for my lord

It's a fairly old rumour. Apparently it is going to be an add-on for the new Mighty Empires set.
Make of that what you will.
If they do remake it then they should do it after chaos dwarfs are re released do that they can be made into man o war. I doubt they would remake a man o war fleet without first having redone the army. It might give away what the whole army is going to look like. Like if the ships dont have hats (thats a bad thing)
As long as I can play ship games I'm not complaining. We use pirates for our fleet actions at the moment but its not the same. (French = Bretonians, Vikings = Chaos, Submarines/anything vaguely steam punk = Chaos Dwarfs, Mercenaries = DoW, British = Empire for those who are interested)
