ravenloft, CoC, WFRP, Inquisitor(i actually like the system, just not the scale), and AD&D. we played spacehulk once using D&D rules...that was interesting.
im also a big fan of fantasy flight games. their quasi rpg boardgames are a blast, specifically descent and fury of dracula, along with Arkham Horror.
i heard from my cousin about an RPG called rifts....anyone know about it?
i actually found the inquisitor game works best on the 40k scale. no need to convert ranges even, just minor tweaks to flame and blast weapons. im actually thinking of doing an inquisitor campaign based off kill team.
I play WFRP and a realy detaild swedish RPG called Eon.
Whoo! Talk about threadomancy, but since its alive and no one's capped it in the head like a wayward zombie, I'll add my two cents.
Traveller and Call of Cthulhu were my big faves, but I haven't played either of them in aeyonks. RuneQuest was cool too, but didn't play a lot of it. In general, I've played maybe 3-4 sessions in the last 10 years. /sigh
D&D on and of I am in the early stages of designing a world at the moment.
Modern D20 (40ies/50ies-style crime or with Silent Hill as setting).
Warhammer Fantasy roleplaying game - playing with my fiancee, as PC.
Silent Hill is an interesting choice. I'm not much of a fan of 3e but the setting sounds like it would be quite fun. Are you the one DMing it?
First of all - what is 3e? Second of all - yes, I'm the (If I get it right) GM and my fiancée is the PC and we're hoping to get more players soon... since we had 4 PC last "season"
And now we are creating a new story and gameplay for next season - both as GM and assistent
re: 3e
I think he means Third Edition D&D, which introduced the d20 rules system that has become the backbone of P&P RPGs in the new millenium.
I'm not much of a fan of it either, but I will give credit where credit's due and acknowledge that P&Ping would be half as popular today if the d20 system wasn't out there.

You hit the nail on the head. 3e and 3.5 are the best and the worst thing to happen to P&P gaming in the last ten years. The best because of it revived interest in it. The worst because fo the "Microsofting" of the rules resulting in 10 million "splat books"
