Chaos Dwarfs have piqued your interest, so now you have a few questions to ask!

1. Do Chaos Dwarfs have a legal army list? If so, where can I get it?
Yes they do.  At the beginning of 6th, the Chaos Dwarfs were included in the Ravening Hordes list.  That list is still legal today.  Head over to the Army Lists Section to download it.

2. Do Chaos Dwarfs have official models from Games Workshop? If so, where can I get them?
Yes they do.  Chaos Dwarfs had a complete range of figures in the 5th and 6th editions of Warhammer.  They are generally no longer sold by Games Workshop, instead one must resort to places like eBay to acquire such models.

3. I want to convert my own models.  What should they look like?
There are a few schools of thought as to what Chaos Dwarfs should look like.  In the 3rd edition of Warhammer, the Chaos Dwarfs looked like small Chaos Warriors, in 4th and 5th edition they had tall hats with coats of scale mail armour.  In 6th edition the Hellcannon of Chaos was released giving a new look with that of masks and spikey beards. Check the Conversion Section to see a bunch of conversion work.

4. I heard that The Battle for Skull Pass models work great for Chaos Dwarfs, is this true?
Many people have had great success in converting The Battle for Skull Pass miniatures into Chaos Dwarfs. Check the Conversion Section to see some examples.

5. What bits will I need to convert a Chaos Dwarf army, and where can I get them?
Great bits to use include Chaos Warrior Bits, Marauder Bits,  Orcs & Goblin bits, and even more BFSP bits.  A great place to order bits online is Battlewagon Bits (Now absorbed by The WarStore).

6. I am interested in becoming a part of the Chaos Dwarf Online community, what should I do?
First, register for the forums! Next, introduce yourself! Then just start posting!

7.  I have heard rumours that the Chaos Dwarfs are to be redone soon, where can I find information on this?
First check out the Rumour Roundup thread, this will always show the up-to-date position.  If the rumours you have heard are better than the ones we have here, reply in the CD Army Release Date sticky and the info will be added.

I have a question that wasn't addressed here? Where should I ask it?
If you think your question is a frequently asked question by new Chaos Dwarf generals, ask your question here, and it will be amended to this list.  If the question is more specific, seek out the appropriate section on the boards and make a thread there.

May your beard grow extra curly as you become a General of Hashut!

Cheers,
-Xander
My beard already IS extra curly! Also, as for the actual lists, what you put in them depends on how you wish to play the Chaos Dwarfs. A suggestion is to learn the strengths and weaknesses of each unit, then work out how to combine the units to cover each others weaknesses. Although, that goes with any army.
I was just wondering if anyone has a guide to converting the new nomal dwarves. I have 2 packs of them and am thinking of starting a CD army. I also have a unit of iron bakers. anyone have any ideas

k thanks man

any ideas on ironbreakers though?

with the beards i have tried them a few times and i cant get them right. I watched the video like 5 times. How thick should the GS sausage be when you stick onto the model?

(hope im not annoying anyone)
Don't make it too thick. I had problems myself, but it's because my sculpting tool is very thick. Either use something thinner, or just stipple dots into it instead. The stipple effect can be seen on my Rykarth model in my avatar. Hope it helps!
K thank you very much
:Cheer
You're most welcome. If you can;t see the stipple effect very well, either look at the GH that had Rykarth as the model to make or look at my army painting thread. Let me know how it goes.
