I was a WFB doubles (1200 pts each) competition last weekend, defending my first place from last year. No joy there but I did get to unlease my "Black Sheep" themed beastmen.

Unfortunately Air New Zealand baggage handling managed to damage the army quite a lot on the trip home but I have taken pictures of the figures still in good condition - main victim was my Mad Scientist (Bray Shaman).

Firstly. a link to the film that "inspired" this army

The Army in action

I didn't actually get to face this army, but it was certainly amusing.

I'm curious to know how you're getting on with my Sewer Elves suggestion....
Not seen the movie, but this is the epitome of examples of how a theme can be bizarre and yet work so well! My overly sized hat off to you, sir!
Preparing some new models for this train wreck of an army

WIP Scarecrow, WIP Brayshaman, Repaired Brayshaman aka the Mad Scientist

WIP Doom Ewe

WIP Sheepotaurs

WIP Beast characters

WIP Chaos Giant aka Mr Dreadful

Nice look and I love the new additions Big Grin
Hell, this is a pretty cool army! i've heard so often people who made jokes about creating a farm-beastmen-army, but you are the first one who did it, and the result is so freakin' funny ^^
Takes Hat off
Some more updates

The Flock gathers

@ cryozen it came out here in the states on dvd

very nice love the chariots and the wolf
are the scarecrows scratch built
dont remember kiwis or pigs in  the film

The scarecrows are a mix of GW zombies with pumpkin heads and mainly RAFM scarecrows.

I have taken a few liberties with adding extra units for variety sake. I still have some plans for rabbit swarms (nurglings), giant kiwi (dragon ogres) and pigs with axes (marauders) but the current changes to the Chaos lists have put those plans on hold.

*sniff* *sniff* i allways wanted a scarecrow-unit and you made my dream come true.. i'm so happy Cheers!
looks pretty cool, especially the RAFM standart bearer, he looks so "whatever, i don't care" ^^
Well, I didn't exactly excel with this army but I did get some pretty pictures

The flock prepares for battle

Death by tractor

Mr Dreadful slays the evil dragon

Elfs wot dun killed me

Father Nurgle says hello!

I like the Death by Tractor line as death is by the tractor Big Grin Those Nurgle models are cool!

Arlon Wrote:
love the nurgle thing
what are they made of

They are skulls from a skeleton keyring bulked up with a lot of putty.

They aren't mine but I had a chat with the guy who made them - he came third with his Nugle Daemons (dirty old daemons - grumble grumble Sick)

Re-enforcements are flocking in  Shock

WIP Kiwi's of Doom (aka Dragon Ogres)

Undercoated Mad Jack Pumpkinhead (another Spawn or the beginning of a unit of Trolls)

Looking good. Get 'em painted up. What ya making the Kiwi's o' Doom from?

The New Zealand tourist shops strike again - originally a very vivid pinky brown colour so I'm toning them down a bit.

Ah, so a simple repaint. I still think it's really cool that you're just buying much of the stuff and using it almost as is Big Grin Gives the army a unique character. Well, a secondary unique character. the first being its theme Tongue
The third wave of these guys is definitely on the go - got a competition in August that a lot of them will need to be complete for.

Planned units

Dragon Ogres: the WIP giant kiwi

Chaos Trolls: Giant pumpkinheads/scarecrows

Bestigors: Another unit of scarecrows (because I'm quite fond of the first unit I did)

Beast herd: Probably going to have an Australian theme going on here

Spawn of Slaneesh: Sheep on a ride-on mower

There are also some dim plans ahead for a 4th wave come October

Chaos Ogres: Beer drinking students from Dunedin

Centigors: Will involve donkeys

Kung Fu Penguins: God knows what these will count as but they must done!

FOR THE GLORY OF THE FLOCK
Make sure you paint the Chaos Ogres in Otago rugby shirts.
The Kung Fu penguins are looking to be a cool unit. I'm guessing you won't use daemons, otherwise furies are a possibility (Kung Fu penguins can fly, obviously Wink ) Otherwise, DoW or something?
Excellent. Shame Mr. Dreadful couldn't fit into the roster. Can you not shave off enough points elsewhere?
