I am the self-proclaimed Styrofoam King. I started playing when I was about *10* (take THAT, Snotling!). Since then, I have played about... 5 battles. Yeah. -_-
Anyway, I've become an avid house-rules writer for Warhammer Quest & Mordheim, two forgotten GW games (which, of course, makes me a perfect sympathizer for Chaos Dwarfs.) I own a LARGE (100+) collection of Big Hats and at least 150+ Dwarfs.
I am 22, live near Washington DC, USA, and have a degree in Music Theatre. Also a huge fan of comics, both Western and Eastern.
kiwis.... I swear, GW must make 70% of it's business in New Zealand o_0. (not a bad thing, mind you. As far as I know, 'kiwi' is not an offensive term. If it, I'll start running...
.....NOW.)
Well, I'm someone2040. Don't ask where the name comes from, nowdays I just use it... because it's a common identity I can spread across forums. So much easier to use a common username and I've been using it for a while.
Real name Mathew, that's right, with one 't'! I live in South Australia, 19 years old turning 20, and 3rd year Computer Science student.
I started playing warhammer back when I was about... 11-12ish. Of course back then, I didn't have the proper rules and me and my friend pretty much winged it on our interpretations of what the stats meant!
I collect Lizardmen. I have about... 3kish if I really push my heroes for items.
I also have a small league of Ogre Kingdoms, pretty much the Batallion box with 1 converted two-headed ogre (hero version... I cant remember the name of the hero >.<

and a Butcher.
I recently traded some old goblins I had for the Dwarven part of the Battle for Skull Pass on the basis of having some fun practicing my conversion skills to conver them into Chaos Dwarves. Got a soft spot for them I guess, being almost forgotten by GW.
So, maybe you'll see some of my models in the future.
Welcome guys! We are a pretty varied bunch, which is great. Diversification for the win.

And a big hi there,
Alan, living in the Lakes in England (though from that there London). Now approaching forty in age. Been collecting armies for an eon or two, though in truth I've not bought anything new for many a year. I only include painted armies for myself so Vampire Counts, High Elves, Wood Elves, Empire and Dwarfs. Not been to a tourny for almost ten years. Like that to change, but being a Dad - y'know...
I was one of those that started buying figures when they were cheap as chips back in the early eighties. Presently putting together a Chaos army using only the mountain of lead I have. It's nice to realise that you can put together and paint an army without having to buy anything. I made the jump to armies back in the early nineties when I spent some time out in Berlin. Learning the language slowly meant I had spare time, so I had my figures sent out to me to paint when things were slow.
Why am I here?
Well, I've always liked the potential and the character of the Chaos Dwarves but never liked the figures (sorry, I might add that I accept that others do and that is all fine and good by me). I still feel that there is a lot of potential to make a very different army - the slowness of the dwarfs coupled with angry ranks of faster slaves. It's also a converters dream. I was impressed by Xander's work in the Glass Cabinet elsewhere, so who knows?
For what it's worth I'd be happy for an updated and interesting list. I don't require, as such, a new range. I'm happy to convert after all, we're a bit spoilt these days. Back in 4th there were whole regiments you had to convert and I rather like that sort of thing.
Me? I'd be chuffed with a decent WD list. That's not the way of things now I know, but it'd make me dig through the lead and BfSP plastics. Indeed, I still might - so I'm here to be inspired.
Good work Mr. X.
Alan.

I am MentalMuffin, or roflmuffin. What ever rocks your boat, I've been kinda playing CD for awhile, I have a small band of models, for Skirmish etc. I also play Mord and BloodBowl, although I havn't played them in a while. So hai.
Hi everyone
I discovered this list yesterday so I thought I'd sign up as I'm considering starting a small Chaos Dwarf army at the moment.
For the record I've been involved in the hobby for about 20 years or so. Family life and other pressures mean that I don't get much time to game anymore but still enjoy converting and painting figs.
I have some of the original chaos dwarf models from the 80's (pre big hat days). I've a few bazooka teams, 2 man mortars and even a couple of the bull-centaur warmachines are in a bits-box somewhere.
My big-hat chaos dwarves were sold some time ago. The only survivor is the special character in the mechanical walking device (I forget his name).
Currenty I'm trying to plan out what figs I'm going to use for the army . . . and I'm trying to track down a army list - I can't seem to find the 'official' one on the UK GW website
cheers for now
Brother Axel
Hi
thanks for the links Flying Beaver.
Ah yes Astragoth, thats the chap. I'll have to decide if he makes it into the new army or not.
cheers
Brother Axel
Hi
I rarely field special characters (on the rare occasions i manage to actually play). I might use ol' Astragoth as a sorcerer, though I'm not sure if the style of the model will fit in with the style of a converted CD army. I'll have to dig him out and see how big his hat is ;-)
cheers for now

Welcome Muffin. Mordheim is the Shizznitch. (As is Slayers, btw).
Hello people
My name is Wyatt (duh) and I have been playing warhammer since I was 9, now I am 16 and looking for a new army and ran into chaos dwarfs. Im still trying to figure out how im going to model things but when I was directed to this forum (I had asked someone named metrognome on asur.org for directions to chaos dwarf artwork to make a banner with for the online campaign) My current goal is 1000 points of dwarfs and now that Ive seen your conversion articles my dwarfs from BFSP are going to be butchered soon... any help with modelling (especially banners) is appriciated. (oh and I prefer helms [my firend has a chaos mortal army and a ton of extra helmets] and masks)
Ello, I'm David and I started playing WFB right before Skull Pass came out. I started with ogres, (look for Borgut Face-Eater on the Ogre Stronghold) and then decided to start an "evil" army. I've played 40k since 2000 and run the Sons of Russ. My old account was Ghorak, Herald of Hashut, but my computer went kapootzkies and I am no longer able to enter under that account. I currenntly can run: 3000+ pts CD, 3000+ pts OK. For Hashut and the glory of the forge!
May Hashut bless you,thy slaves work long and thy tusks sharp. Oh, and may your beard grow long and curly.
Hi, i'm Belphagor playing Warhammer for about 8 years. I've just started converting Chaos Dwarfs.
I've started collecting with a mortal Chaos army, then empire, then back to Chaos, then Orcs and youve guessed right back to chaos and so.
Finally i got around 6500 pts of mortal Chaos and around 2000 pts of Beastmen.
I got a 2500 pts Death Guard Army and 1500 pts of Space Orks too and a around 700 pts of Warmachine Mercenaries and a 2000 pts Flames of War Soviet army.
In real life i'm a 21 years old electrican from germany
*grumbles* grrr freaken mentalmuffin stealing my awesome name!.

Greetings!
I'm Alfginnar - a stout Dane. I've been collecting WHFB for 10 years. I don't play much, however, since I have a complete inability to finish armies and an even more complete inability to play with proxies or unpainted models.
I frequent quite a lot of other Internet forums - Bugman's, asur.org, the Ogre Stronghold, druchii.net, warhammer-empire just to mention a few.
So who knows - you might know me? Names are, Alfginnar Oakenshield (or Alf or Alfginnar), Hieronymous, Jog Meatfist...

Hello all!
Been playing WFB for nigh on four years now, during which all my money and time has been slowly absorbed by all manner of armies. And now, after seeing Xander's work, Chaos Dwarves are next on the list!
MalusCalibur
Hello everyone!
I just registered here after seeing the BFSP conversion videos on another forum. I have been interested in Chaos Dwarves for quite a while, and I intend to start an army of them before too long.
Hi
I'm Nemo. I've been playing Warhammer for about 7 years now and have ammassed High & Wood Elf armies along with a Dwarf Pirate army that is still in progress.
I decided on the Chaos Dwarfs when considering a submarine unit for my Dwarfs like the Nautilus (hence the name Nemo). The idea sort of spiralled out of hand and now I plan to make a whole army of corrupted/possesed Dwarfs who have turned to a deity of one of the Chaos gods after spending too long underwater.
Hope to get some advice on how to convert all this and how to form a decent Chaos Dwarf list!
Cheers
Nemo
You have to do Chaos Dwarf Pirates Nemo, that would be the most awesome army ever!
That's what I intend to do, but with a steampunk twist *rubs hands evilly*
You could have them as pirate slave raiders for the fluff.
That would make sense, rising from the depths only to take slaves to fuel the huge engines needed for the Nautilus. I'll write up some fluff soon.
Thanks for your help and the warm welcomes
Cheers
Nemo (your resident Pirate Chaos Dwarf)
