I played 2250 CD vs WE today. I lost to horrible, HORRIBLE dice rolls and misfires. However, I totally loved the look on my opponents face when I Killed his treeman with one swing of the hammer. Whoo hoo!
WE are useful only for the pleasure of burning them. As for all the elves. Tell us about your rematch.
No self respecting chaos dwarf would be lumber jack should leave home without it. Especially when facing off against the tree hugging pansy pointy ears!

WITH black hammer
VS

WINS

In my experience the treeman always have some ridiculous ward saves though, so it is very hard to wound them.

I guess your enemies need to look that option up. Tongue

But yes, Black Hammer FTW.

THEY DONT GET A WARD SAVE

magic attacks deny forest spirit ward saves

and the +2 streingth means subtraction to the armor saves

Not even something like annoyance of nettlings, or something?
here's the saves the treeman would get
CD hero/lord, Hobgoblin hero, BC hero  S4+2  -3 to the save  6+armor save

BC lord S5+2 -4 to save  NO SAVES

1 dead treeman
The Black Hammer helped me win a match against woodies too - my Lord first burnt a unit of Tree Kin and then the Treeman to cinders.

In turn he was later kicked from his Taurus by the Wood Elf Lord on Wood Dragon who was not all too impressed by the Hammer. Wink But it was still a fun match. Still need to see how good it is against Tomb Kings.
Yep. Should be a good weapon against the toilet paper and bone brigade as well.
if he lives through the volley of KB shots from waywatchers, he is golden.  after he kills the big tree, wardancers usually get him.  now against TK it is another thing entirly.  TK dont have much to deal with the flyin bull.  or BBs...

Grish

If it's a treeman ancient, they can have annoyance of netlings (6 needed to be hit in a challenge) or a 4+WS, or a 3+WS that disappears if the treeman ever loses a wound.  T6, W6, 3+AS, 4+WS... that's pretty darn tough.
