Ishkur, how is the mold set up for the Warriors? Two-piece or one-piece? And where on the CD torso do you have the channel for casting- on the back or the underside of the piece? I'm seriously considering making my own, and need some advice.
BTW, I don't think you could sell them even if you sculpted the torso yourself. GW hates conversion kits for their minis, you'd get a cease-and-desist within a week.
"MODEL CONVERSION KITS
We do not allow unlicensed third parties to manufacture or produce conversion kits for our models. We need to be able to control our products and all derivatives thereto in order that we produce quality products for years to come." - Games Workshop.
Psst, Iskur make some bull centaurs... hint...hint...
Seriously though dude, I'd love to see your take on these guys
I don't see why mini painting (as an end in itself) isn't usually art tallhat, check out Golden Daemon, or Golden Hat for that matter! but I agree with you on one thing - MAKE MORE MODELS ISHKUR!!!

I wasnt implying that painting isnt art. I was talkign about his modeling skills. I was actually giving him a compliment.
- Tallhat
I recognised the compliment, I was just saying that painting and modelling are art forms and thus worthy of the status whatever the level. Sorry to have caused confusion, it was just pedantry on my part. *cough* bull centaurs *cough*
Here are some larger pictures - to show all the painting mistakes which the small format of the pictures in the GH thread so kindly masked.
Yeah Ishkur, because you really suffer from painting errors :p
I've lost track of the thread showing those really awesome lava bases some guy had for sale, anyone got the link?
Hey Hal, haven't seen you round here lately
Sorry to hear about your hand dude, but congrats on the job, hope college is going well for you
Great drawings Ishkur! If the Immortals are 100% sculpted does that mean there's a possiblity that you might be able to sell some? I love the bull centaur - suitably stocky
Well we coul always add those later
Your stuff is fantastic, and not far behind games workshop standard
No, its not far behind GW standard - its well ahead!! IF I had a choice of minis, some of GWs latest offerings or Ishkurs, theres no question in my mind
Lol, but seriously dude, your stuff rocks!
Awesome mate, as always. I wouldn't dtch the flaming hammer idea totally though, I think its a cool touch
I came up with the rope idea when I thought how he'd use his hammer. This way he could now hurl it down at someone and then pull it back up. Otherwise the bull does all the carnage and the rider is reduced to watching the action - clearly not befitting a Chaos Dwarf lord!
I've thought about that too, my principle is to give long pole arms such as glaives to any model who looks like he couldn't reach the enemy from his steed. Nice work though!
@ Ishkur: My Dad and I used to play runequest many moons ago - he had a dwarf character whose hammer had exactly those properties! When I saw the master rune of flight in the dwarf book it made it a must have
To add my ten cents worth that is magnificent! You simply have to get the troops painted to use it now!
it's always great to have a support system of friends and family... and CDO! I will assume the role of momma bear and provide the ear/shoulder should you decide to take the anti-guy route and want to talk about it...
...women are complex and often we know "what" has to be done, but can't verbalize "why" it needs to be done... it's a major difference between men and women. our emotions rule us while logic is more likely to rule you. =\
sshhh Sojourn don't betray the sisterhood
. You're giving Xander and the rest of us ammo, especially if we're told we're the ones who think clearly and express ourselves in plain English/German.
@ Ishkur - I'm really sorry to hear that, I had a similar experience with a girlfriend of three years recently. Only advice I can give is to get on with your life and go out and enjoy yourself. I tend to find you spend a lot less time thinking about it when you're having fun than if your moping around the house feeling sad. Ring up your buddies and hit the town. Failing that, I can always bbok a flight to Germany. You'll be back on your feet in no time
