I was wondering that as well but i decided not too even if we are allowed to. It doesnt really seem right when there are so many good entries.
The idea of voting for yourself is not one I will restrict as a rule. If you truly feel you have the best entry, you probably don't need to vote for yourself to win. If you don't feel you have the best (or second best, or third best) entry then why do you want to vote for yourself?
In the end it is up to you. But I think we have a great forum here where no one feels compelled to win by voting for themselves.
See what I meant in the other thread, this isn't going to be easy to win.

lol (ahem, I mean sorry to hear that). I missed my bus the other day because I was painting my entry.
As an interesting test, people should note down on a piece of paper somewhere (
NOT HERE) who they think each entry belongs to. I find it interesting looking through them that I could probably have guessed who did at least 7 of them.
We clearly have developed our own styles and techniques.
Then after the competition is over we can reveal who did what and you can see how many you got right!
Lets keep our suspicions off the forum for a bit though, this is ideally supposed to be anonymous

Just to remind people that when voting you must make it clear which order your votes are in '1st = entry x' etc.
If you don't make it clear your votes will be counted in the order they appear on your pm.
Does it really need to be in a specific order? A vote is a vote so it shouldnt really matter. Which ever entry gets the most votes wins right? Or are you saying that if the model with the most votes actually got all its votes from people voting for it as their 3rd favourite it wont win 1st place because everyone voted it as their 3rd favourite? Or have i got it completely wrong?
This golden hat is different to previous ones because we have 2nd and 3rd places.
The way I was going to score this is 3 points for 1st choice, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd. Then at the end the one with the highest score gets gold, next silver, third bronze.
So it matters which order your votes are in.
I've done a quick count so far, and there's 5 points between the top 4 entries, 2 points between the top 3!

I dont think that this was made clear at the start though. Most people probably thought it was just who ever got the most votes. No one knew that there was a points system as well.
So what do we do, re-vote? I didn't name my votes in order.

Vote for your 3 favourite entries. Each vote carries the same points as the next, so they don't need to be in any particular order.
That is the best way to do it. It covers those who've given an order and those who haven't.
I also made the mistake of thinking that the previous pages of pm on the Golden Hat account were the entries... There's actually 3 pages of votes!?!? Holy Hashut, that's at least 45 votes so far!
After adding them all up again there's only 8 votes between the top 3! Close.
Once the voting closes I'll add them all up again from the start just to make sure.

I never specified needing to rank your picks. This seems to be a misinterpretation. You just send in three votes, that's it. No weight is given to one vote over another.
