Apart from any copyright issues, I think the Rune of Hashut would be an awesome idea. How about a front and back design? For example, a black Tee with a large lava effect rune of hashut with Chaos Dwarfs Online in similar writing beneath. Then on the back we could have the website in white along with a motto.

Alternatively if we have any talented artists an updating of the WDP:CD front cover artwould be awesome, with maybe an update of the Slaver in the top right corner of this page next to the name and address of the sight on the back. I'm thinking Ishkurs Taurus and the crewman on the banner in terms of style

I think we will find that we have to design a symbol ourselves,GW are very funny about rights when it comes to merchandising .The lava symbol and CDO logo designs sound great

That would certainly look cool! But only very specialized print shops can do it on black background AFAIK, at least none that I know here could print that.

i know my fiancée used to get her rock society t-shirts done quite cheaply on black.

the thing i see is arm logos cost quite a bit more to put on, as thats 4 places to print rather than just 2.

it might be better to set up an account with one of those print on demand webstore things, so instead of having to order it all in bulk people could buy them when they wanted, and have custom designs on them.

my point was that there isnt a proper way of having the rune of hashut, some people use it the other way around than others. it could get a bit complicated.

i am sure they will be done by then!

the best idea really would be to et a set of GIF images made and put on the site so we can all download them and use them ourselves to get them made. I cant imagine there would be a bulk deal that would counteract the worldwide postage costs, but if there is then we need to agree on a design.

the thing is from the print on demand sites i have been looking at they work in GIF, because the printers themselves have a limited colour palate or something.

As far as i was thinking nothing i would have on a t-shirt would need 24 million colours anyway. Fonts in either black or white, and possibly something with a flame pattern.

As far as trademarks go the rune of hashut isnt one. It has never been an official GW symbol. As far as copywright . . . im not too sure if it counts or not, as it was created by the GW design team and used for chaos dwarfs. But would GW ever be able to remember this? or even recognise the rune?

yeah that is a great rune to use, and im sure its not way too difficult to do if you know how to use photoshop, which i dont, but im guessing what he has done is made the image into shades of red and then cut it into the shape of the rune of hashut.

i think leaving it to us to buy the t-shirts individually might be best, as at the end of the day im sure we will all want different sizes/styles/colours before the images and text has been put on. I myself would probably prefer a red t-shirt.

Yeah i would love the Idea of the avatar but would need a Xanderesque version for a tee shirt. lets see a test run one made

I had some T-shirts made for my website, a few years ago. The owner of the shop recommended a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

my perfect t-shirt would be red, with a black and greyscale rune of hashut on the front, in the style xander posted before with the picture in it, then on the back accross the shoulders the website banner.

It wouldnt need a text URL as that is on the banner.

The same design could also be done with a red rune and a black t-shirt.

I think if avatars were to go on they should be small on one of the sleeves (10mm square-ish) because the images wont size very well without a million imperfections in my mini painting skills showing lol

i would have the banner on the back a bit higher, about 3 inches down from the collar, so it should be level with shoulder blades and not get too creased.

as i mentioned previously there is no need for a url as its actually on the banner itself. having it twice would be a bit silly.

and id go for either the image or the rune on the front, not both. looks a bit crowded. but other than those few minor poits looking good so far!

i love the overlord picture with the slave . . i would definately have a t-shirt with that on the front, if we got permission.

Maybe instead of a picture on the front side, try using some catchy phrase? Like:
- Bring back the Chaos Dwarfs!
- Support Chaos Dwarfs! Convert your army! Enslave pansy elves!
- Will work for slaves!
- Enslave the Old World!  For Hashut!

You can go on and on... This will be easier to do and there won't be any legal issues with the artwork.
On the back of course the website's address and maybe a banner.

So what design has been decided on then?
