3rd: Abyss
4th: Ishkur
5th (Tie): Pyro
5th (Tie): GRNDL

Exceptionally close voting for 3rd, Abyss edged Ishkur by 1 vote!

Congrats to Grimstone who not only wins the GHV medal, not only gets enshrined in the Hall of Golden Hat Fame, but a nice spiffy White Dwarf Presents: Chaos Dwarfs from Bloodaxe!

In closing: round of applause for all, especially the site and foremost to Grimstonefire, well done and well earned.

Willmark
Your telling me Torn, counting this was anything but fun!
congrades to the winners Cheers!Cheers!
i had a great time
Phew, am I glad that's over! The anxiety in waiting was getting to me. Now at last, there is catharsis.

Conga rats to all the real winners! Now I'm going to look forward to the detailed posts about their methods, construction, etc.

(and steal all your secrets!)
(especially Warplockmonkey's!)
(who, it turns out, I voted for even though I didn't know it was his entry)
(curses Warplock)

Happy
jesus don't believe i managed 3rd with the quality of all the other entrants, and to edge ishkur of the podium by just one vote, i really am honoured... i was execting to be much further down the rankings. well done though grim, you definatly deserve it as your entry was a cut above the rest. well roll on the next golden hat i say, we all know what we're capeable of now
Grim- too true.

Special mention goes to GRNDL- best commentary on the entries!
yer i think i'll have to do that, now i've got a medal and all i think it would be wrong not to have an avatar lol.
Aw... i got lower than expected... some how spending the last three days on my model was not much time

Congrats to the winnersCheers!
A wise man once said "the journey IS the reward"... Happy
CONGRATS to Grimstonefire, Clam, and Abyss for placing!

ALso, Kudos to all who entered, and those who voted, all of whom helped make this event one to remember!

Great work!

what is interesting is that vexxus managed to get more votes than his much more chaos dwarf experienced brother lol

i wonder if that is going to be brought up around the table at thanksgiving Tongue

Its true, I have experience with greenskins seeing as we painted a bunch of orcs and gobbos in the early stages.

Plus, who doesn't think that an Ostermark-Clad Empire Soldier, being ruthlessly skewered by a hobgob, is way cool.

Tongue

Not cool enough to place though... maybe next time!!

Awww, shucks. /scuffs toes
I guess sometimes it pays to waffle. I'm good at that.

congrat to the winners and ofcours the rest who has entered this competition
Well earned Clam. Great work.

While a lot to ask I think helping Border Town Burning helps us as well. In other words there are plenty of reasons to help them, one of them helping to raise the exposure of Chaos Dwarfs.
Hi cianty.

No one is disagreeing with that but GH usually runs 6 weeks. 6 weeks can be difficult to fit in a large mordheim band.

Obviously the staff is discussing this.
Well not going to be in it eather. But i will vote for a winner.
Congrats to the winersCheers! this one was especially hard to vote on.

pyro has a good idea, you dont want the momentum GH is building up to lose itself by having a model that isnt going to be popular with all gamers. Certainly everyone can easily put another unit champion in their army, and there is so much possibility for that.

Well, one thing I would say is that this forum seems to encourage all of us to look beyond the everyday, to better ourselves as hobbyists, and really excel at accumulating slaves Wink

My point here is that another competition where we submit a group of models might be a really good thing. Something popular with everyone definitely makes things easier, but is easier really the goal? Perhaps the increase in challenge will be good for the community it its own way, and the success of GH5 and its momentum could promote participation even if it is "more work".

I for one welcome the challenge, and we all look at the Border Town Burning website and see all the time invested there, perhaps we will see just how amazing it is of them to include Chaos Dwarfs, and all the special rules and fluff they came up with just for us. It definitely got me amped up about CD, and the models can easily be used in regular warhammer army lists!

Please discuss! Happy

Maybe create a new post for it HB? This post has so many convos rolling around inside it already!
