With a TOFP almost finished on Warseer, and with it my Empire almost finished I decided to start collecting for the next TOFP. So sence I wanted to start collecting and converting chaos dwarfs I thought this was a good opportunity to start. But I also wanted to collect and convert lizardmen as well. So i decided to do both. My plan is to get roughly about 1200 points of both.

So first I will start with my plans for the chaos dwarfs. It's fairly strait forward. Use dwarf and choas bitz for the chaos dwarfs. For the hobgoblins I use night goblins. For bull centaurs I plan on using chaos, dwarfs, and grudge ponies. Not shure for war machines and bigger monsters. And lastly orc and goblin slaves will be bassicly strait from the box.

Now for my plans for the lizardmen. My main conversion plans for them is to convert them to look more like dinosaurs. Saurus warriors and kroxigors will be the bigger meat eating dinos like T-rex, and Spinosaurus. Skinks will basiclly be raptors. Swarms will probably be compies.

And thats that for my plans.

But I do have a pic to start of this log. These are the humble start of my Bull Centaurs.

What do you guys think so far?
Thx Vexxus. I'll be shure to take more shots of them. I had a different idea originally for the heads than these ones. But I like the way they're turnning out.
Thx Khan! My plan is to add mustaches to them and probably more beard and hair in general.
OK here are pics of my newsest bull centaur.

One of the thing I wanted to do is beef up the grudge pony body. So I decided to start with adding more to the upper back where the pony body joins with the dwarf body like so.

I'm gonna hold off on doing any thing else to these guys until I get my one last grudge pony like the others.

Ps. sorry for the bad pics. My camera is starting to have troubles focussing.
I can do better than just rotate. I can just buy them like that. The lower bodies are grudge ponies.
@AGPO: Thx, I can't wait to see these armies realised as well.

@Merchant:Thx, I'll definetly try to keep them coming.

@Ishkur Cinderhat: Thx man, I hope to have them done soon myself. Anyway TOFP(short for Tale of Fantasy Painters) is something being done on Warseer were every month you take and paint up 200 points of what ever army(or armies) you have chosen. I really like it to be honest. It's a great way to get motivated and paint.
@Ishkur Cinderhat: Yes, it really isn't much of a great stress.

@ashur:Thx. I mainly did this becouse I thought it would be cool and that nobody has done this before.

@Kera foehunter:Thx.

Now it's time for an update on the bull centaurs.

Now all I have to do is get a couple left arms from either BC or marauders, some bases, and more Ungor heads then I should be ready to finish these first four up.
Well minty the story goes something like this. When I was first starting them I was origanally use the regular dwarf heads that had been shaved of their helmets to make them seem bald. But then I thought that maybe I would use some beastmen heads instead. So I gave it a try and found that I rather liked it.

But your right about the bodies. I used a regular hobby knife instead of a dremril like I was hopping too. But don't worry as soon as I can I will clean them up.
Don't worry I plan on giving them curly beards and the brick looking armour. Thx for the comments though. I think I should have put up before that they are still very W.I.P.
OK so i'm taking a quick break from my Bull Centaurs and have been working on two big monster each for both Lizardmen and Chaos Dwarfs. Now I had an urge to make a monster for both armies because I thought it would be cool and I didn't want to pay a punch of money for them. So the monster I chose for the Chaos Dwarfs was the Great Taurus while for the Lizardmen I picked the Carnosaur. Any way I sketched up some pics for both so here's basiclly what I'm going for:
Carnosaur

Great Taurus

Now with a little chat with someone who's done this before he revealed to me that he used Fimo sculpt for the basic structure of his own monster. So I decided to give it a try. The basic idea for useing this stuff is that you use the Fimo clay as the bases of the beast(or beasts in my case) then you go in with GS and add detail and such. So I bought some and have been working on making the head and front body for both of them. So here is what I got so far:

So what do you guys think so far?
it's hard to tell, as there just blobs of putty but I'm sure itt'll look great

and that carnosar looks to docie, make it more mean and chompy looking
I think it's time for an update.

First up Is some more work on the Bullcentaurs.

Just need to make a stach for them and then I'll start work on the rest of their armour.

Last is some stuff to show where i'm going with my lizardmen. The plan is to make them look more like dinosaurs and these following ones I think do just that.Note: I didn't paint these.

For the saurus warriors I plan on tring to make them look like the big meat eaters. The the types they suppose to be is as follows(from left to right:Allosaurus, Carnotaurus, Cryolophosaurus, and Spinosaurus). To help here are some pics of the dino heads i'll be using for the saurus.

Top=Cryolophosaurus
Bottom=Carnotaurus

Top=Spinosaurus
Bottom=Allosaurus

Top=Giganotosaurus
Bottom=T-Rex
No replies? This is starting to turn out like my logs on other forums.

Anyway a quick little update. Last night and this morning i've been working on two Hobgoblin bolt throwers for my Chaos Dwarf army. This is what I hot so far.

They're only about 75% done but look good none the less.
that is a very good bolt thrower, it's a new idea but works well

now they just need crew and paintHappy
looks like half the grudge pony wagon. Great idea Dino, making something useful out of a bunch of gubbinz. May i add, please keep the barrels and the spears parralel to eachother for ballistic realism (one appears to be a little bent)

I'll be watching for updates

I like the stretch cannon, very inventive. The metal sorceror looks great but i think the glove could use one more highlight.

Keep up the good work, i'll follow with interest
Great looking figures Dino, i like how you've even managed to incorporate a space marine helmet in there. Keep it up.
Nice stuff dino, I like the multiple weapons you have there, looks good as a complete unit Takes Hat off
They look great Dino. Ingenious the blunderbuss pistol. Was unsure about the beastmen bull centuaurs but they look pretty good painted up. Keep it up buddy
