So before I start painting I wanted to have a try at a special base.  I wanted to see if it seems weird.



I'm not sure if it'll be weird for a unit to appear to be walking on a collection of floating rocks.  Opinions on this as for a unit?  Ways to make it better or just go for it?

I used some cool basing flock from Gale Force Nine.  Basing Grit: Rocky.  I'd been looking for nice flat rocks for a long time.  Since they're so flat it's hard to get a lighting effect on the underside, they really don't have much of an underside.  Should I use these as bases or should I start from scratch?
