This week I started on a warm up project to get into the mood and to see where I'm at.
I was inspired to do a character after seeing so much cool stuff on this site. I wanted it to be totally different from what is out there, so set out on a mission.
I think I've succeeded in that, just take a look.
Very early wip stages but I thought that some members might be interested in following the entire project...

The backpack is from a Sisters of Battle Canoness and of course he will get a beard!
I don't know what I did wrong this time with the pics. I'm not the best photographer but usually they are at least sharp. I think I goofed up something while cropping, just don't know what. It doesn't matter a lot as next week I'll take new pics of the next stages.

Okay, I've done some more work on the little guy. I've added a beard which is almost done, there will be some trinkets added to the end of it and some rings and such.
Added the two horns on his back which in my view show off his authorithy and represent he is a chosen of Hashut.
I also did some fur but I cut it away again as I wasn't satisfied with it...
Again, the piccies are not super but atleast better than the last time, I now know I goofed up with the resolution...
he is looking good! any idea what your going to do with the arms yet?
the horns really do look good and will make him a lot more prominent on the battlefield.

In his right hand he will be holding a staff, I'm working on it right now. But good thing you mention it because I'm not sure what to do with the left side! Any suggestions?
you could try doing something magical, like having him holding a fireball or gesturing a he was casting a spell, or you could try and give him one of the chaos dwarf magical items. im trying to make a chalice of darkess at the moment for one of my sorcerers, its quite difficult but i think it adds a bit more theme to the model.
