I've been secretly writing my own over the last few months. I figured that once the first issue was out it could be improved on later issues. Most of the articles were written by me, and I planned to get a few more (discretely) from other posters on the site. It is/was intended to be more of a "Best of CDO" rather than a large amount of original work, so it doesn't rely on submissions or writers but the great stuff that people post of the forums. It is at about 10 pages at the moment, but lacks a battle report and fanfluff section to complete it. I could send it to you if you want to see the current state.
I really ought to bring my tablet to work and draw things in photoshop in my spare time, namely, Chaos Dwarfs...
Very nifty dwarings there, Baggronor! The chrome look of the sorceror in the last picture is very special.
I'd be ready to contribute a small article, provided that it's something I actually have anything to say about, and that someone else finds the time to read and correct it. ^^
I wouldnt mind contributing for battle reports. I pretty much have atleast one battle per week.Only issue is that my army is still in the beggining stages of being Hashut-ified. So it is not yet quite done.
Wow,

this is amazing!
Excellent work all! We need more artwork!!! I smell a new contest!!
How much articles did You already get, Willmark?
I'd say putting a download link onto the site is a lot more economical. 16+ pages can become a big file depending on amount of graphics - sending that to 700+ members may just be too much.

Perhaps an email to let people know its ready site wide by the admins... however, it will not be emailed. Hosted in a section that people can download will be the way to go...
Why not a PM or an anouncement on the site, most people check back regularly anyway. I can't imagine anyone missing it.
I'd be happy to contribute some articles. I think its important the content reflects CD as a community - for example the conversions should include a blend of the simple yet effective like "Xander school" warriors and the purely inspiring like Ishkur's work. Thats what I love about this site, people at all levels exploring their hobby and discovering new avenues
I'm playing a 6,000 point legendary battles game this Sunday recreating the Black Orc uprising. I can do a battle report for that if you like.
Don't forget pictures Wallacer!
I'll see if I can come up with something for later in the year. Maybe some basing tutorials or something alike...
dpi is meaningless in a digital format. Image size in pixels is the important thing.
I'm starting to get really exited about this
@ Wilmark: Just a thought, but if we have a medal for great contribution to the wiki we should really have one for the webzine as well. Lots of people who aren't confident with wikis would have access to it and it would acknowledge all the good work people have been doing. We could leave it a couple of issues and those who contribute lots of time and effort or put forward some cracking articles would gain it.
On a similar, but off topic notion we could have a medal for those who post great tutorials
Well glad to have some imput through the arty thingy already.
Also, I know some quite good semi pro artists, maybe I can get them to do some stuff...
Being a webzine, I hope you have it set up as landscape. I hate having to do the scroll-up scroll-down scroll-up scroll-down just read a page.
Thats awesome. I haven't been on this forum for a very long time. I could do an article or something in the next one if you want.
Would scenarios be any good? I always liked it when WD provided a scenario, even the ultra-cheesy Elfincourt.
Does constructive criticism go here?
Ok. The cover artwork was brillaint, but some of the articles were extremely fragmented and scattered around, which made them a chore to read. Also a slight cutback on the pages and pages of fan fiction might be an idea. Just my two cents.
