i got some LOTR dwarfs for my B-day they look like they will make brilliant chaos dwarfs. they already have scale mail ish and alot of them look evil enough and just need to be put on square bases plus they are realy cheap

Indeed, the scale will look off if you put 'em next to regular WFB models...
Their dwarfs though, they're supposed to be short. YOu might be able to pul it off. I was thinking of the same thing so you shall not be alone.
You've got them already so you might as well try it. I'm not convinced they're that much smaller, personally, so I'll be interested to see how it turns out.
i dont think they would make very good bighats, but they would certainly be as usable as evil dwarves from any other manufacturer. also the sculpting for the LOTR stuff is better proportioned and more often better done. i think they will work great!

i have looked at them compared to my regular dwarf conversions they are the same height but thiner. my excuse will be that the fatter ones are nobles so have acces to more food.
i only have 1 unit of regular dwarfs so it's not such a bad excuse as it seems
You don't even really need an excuse: there's so much size disparity between models from the same range anyway. Compare the old metal Chaos Dwarfs to the plastic ones - the latter are ridiculously huge.
When you look at the old and the new goblins there is a size diffrent, the new ones are smaller. so it doesn't realy matter.
