Wow, That was well put and really does make me feel better about the army.
thanks for your letter willmark
hip hip heray!!!!!!
thats all well and dandy but why dont they just put a new list for the chaos dwarfs in the wd or make them fully tourny legal, at the moment its a sort of limbo whether you can or not depending in the event

so another 3 years, then, thats what 8th edition time whent they will go and re-do the armies again - "oh im sorry whe have to update the current ones before we get round to you"
Good to see that GW hasn't left us, but its a shame it will take so long
I am very impressed. This is quite a compassionate letter and it makes me glad to be part of the CD community. I took the majority of Jervis explanation about the "Catch 22" to refer to the current state of business reorganization that GW is going through - reducing costs through adapting old kits into leaner, meaner (if not hard to  put together) unit kits like the Skeletons, etc. and once business is more stable look to expand the range of armies currently available.

Thanks for sharing this with us Willmark.
Daemons arent exactly new but yeah... A letdown but what can we do? I think it feels great to know we got this official word that CD indeed are a core army and arent being cut off. Then again, thats been said for awhile now.

Still, it is something and indeed, thanks for the the effort and for sharing your reply with us.

Cheers
Demons  isn't a new army, it is one of the three chaos armies, but now they don't have to share there rulebook with the demons.
Firstly, thankyou to Willmark, That was a wonderfull letter you wrote, very professional!

Secondly, I totally agree with Zorn, They SHOULD NOT be releasing new armies when there is an army that seriously needs re-doing since it's last book was back when there was an entirely different magic system and it was just compiled from White dwarf articles anyway!
They go pulling other armies apart to make more armies e.g. Undead-TombKings/Vampire Counts! Chaos-Hordes of chaos/Daemons of chaos/Beasts of chaos, thats 5 new books instead of 2, then they go and make the ogre kingdoms who are meant to be mercinaries!
Ahhhh!!

Thirdly, Games Heartbreakshop is really annoying me!

They'll release armies in the order they want to release them. They don't owe you anything, you know.

They dont owe me anything?
I was wondering how you came to that conclusion... Seems to be bad buisness to me.
They started this game and they put Chaos Dwarfs in it and people spent there hard earned money and for some people I mean HARD EARNED then they stop releasing it and there hard earned moneys worth of army balances on the edge of being useless other then fond memories and ornaments!
Yes Games Workshop does owe me and alot of other people who have spent there dollars in the past because they think that they may not make any money, which by the way is based on what?
Have they ever asked us if we would like to see Chaos Dwarfs return?
As for people saying that they are unpopular... when was that 10 years ago? These are new times, Last week I decided to take my Chaos Dwarfs to a gaming club to play and every young bloke in that club was very impressed with them and were asking "Where can you get those?"

Response to original post

A least we are staying in the Fluff, and nothing is preventing us from using the dwarf army list in tournaments.

Plus we have Border Town Burning Mordheim rules (unofficial but its Mordheim, find a friendly gaming group) which is a good thing.
Toy soldies, that were part of a game that they are now being phased out of, thats fine for them they DO have there money for them and they will not buy the "toy soldiers" back if they decide to make them useless to gamers.
Not that I want my money back, I want to be able to play with a part of the game that they sold me without arguements saying you cant use them anymore.
Thats what they owe me, In my opinion, it may not be shared by others but I dont have to change my mind for people who dissagree.
Now I have voiced my opinion I will not get more further into it causing a "flame thingy" Takes Hat off
depressing is on any of the others
Haha !!! i make my own toy solders  i bypass gw!! i use old rules !! there 4 i don't need gw
I was looking through the edition and found some stuff on the Jabberwock, He appears in 1st ed in the forces of fantasy though its pretty much just a stat line and nothing more, it returns in 2nd ed with fluff and pic and again in 3rd ed with fluff and pic.
Would it be ok to scan the pages and post them up here?
Ok so I will just scan the pics and then type out the text and put it in a new thread in the Warhammer Discussion topic.
Are you expecting anything less then a yes here?
Here's a novel idea how about a book for Daemons and one for Chaos Dwarfs, shocking I know, then everyone wins.
From a modeling perspective I'd say this website has plenty of life left. If we should get a new book then the hub of the chaos dwarf universe if you will!
If there is a brand new CD release, I'll be frustrated seeing a large stream of players buying the ArmyBook. I want to keep it rare!
(rares and officials, if it's not to much begging)
Repone- I'd much rather have it be official and popular then quasi-official and not supported.

I've argued since the beginning that I'd be happy with a update to the PDF list bring it to 7th and an official statement from GW regarding their legitimacy.
