Wow, looks nice AND intimidating. 16 terminators? Is that ONE squad? You really NEED another 16, he he he? The sculpt of that Diopsid looks excellent (no idea what they look like, but I can appreciate the model nonetheless!) and as for the stats, it is worryingly overpowered, by the sounds of things, he he he. Still, the paint job is AMAZING! Simple colour scheme, yet effective. Might use the same style on Tau (assuming I'd ever buy them) and try to steal your sculpt (with appropriate weapons) as the Vespid
I love the colouring on the sword. Is it metal, with some green paint at the top and some greenk ink washing down (or up) it, fading out?

Looks good and thanks for the permission as well as the sceheme workings
I take it you can't use them all at once legally? As 10 squads that is... You could have 2 VERY large squads, maybe

Ah, yes. I most certainly am. That really would be a terriying army to behold! (One thing that would make it better is if Armour, Cover and Ward/Invulnerable saves worked more aking to Fantasy. 2+AS followed by 5+ ward save and either reduce their BS in cover or get a cover save as well! Awesome, especially for terminators in a bunker, he he he.)
It seems like you would be a powerful enemy/ally. The speed of 30 (or more if ya hvae more) Raptors and the strength/resilience of 50 terminators is ridiculous!
Cool choices though...

Yeah, 20k of 40k Chaos would be fearful indeed. It makes the terminators and raptors pale slightly, but if they were the whole army, was where I was coming from
Hey, I sent ya some money and stuff, so I've already aided your CD project somewaht, he he he. I know what ya mean about university holding ya back. Somehow, it spurred me on, though. I then did even more painting once I got back for Summer...

It's looking good and well done for finishing so much stuff! Are those raptors converted from "normal" space marines (even assault ones)? The army will be MOST impressive when all 20,000 points are finished, but I'm also excited to see some of your Chaos Dwarfs done. This army has helped get me in the mood for some 40k stuff! Thanks
(Unfortunately, I cannae find my stuff at the moment.)

I would, but I'm waiting for a job, he he he. At the moment, I have a little over £100 TOTAL (in ALL my savings) and need that as a float for rent/food/bills/uni stuff when i go back to uni. Not looking fgood for me finanically. I'm sure I'll find it in my Nuclear Bunker (yes, I could survive a nuclear fallout. Ask Sousonou). Even so: 7k is a LOT of points, so it'll still be quite impressive.... Glad to hear you've branched out from just the official CSM models. It'd get a little mundane otherwise. You'll have all 20k finished in two more Summers max at the rate you're going, uit would seem
I can only dream of how happy you'll be, but ya show us some pics and I doubt I'd be far off!

Looking good. Even the greens of the Plague Marines fit in, so kudos to that scheme! That's a lot of heavy firepower, he he he. Can't wait to see them painted. Say to yourself, that if you paint the terminators, you'll treat yourself (by making a cardboard, life-szed version, maybe?
)...

Good lad, planning to get CDs done first
Hopefully, that gap will give you the incentive to finish them off, eh? So, you'll have renegade models using a loyalist list? Makes sense: they've just broken off from the Imperial regime...
Sounds like it's all coming along really well. Annoyingly, this blog is making me want to get on with my CSMs, but I can't find any of my damnable stuff! Rargh!

Looking good. Well done for getting all that stuff painted. Is the top left rhino for the plague marines, by any chance? Good job on the mini-prince
Are you planning for the large prince to have the daemonic stature thing rule? (Bare in mind I have the older codex)
08-07-2008, 07:21 PM
Not a problem. I love to look at the progess (and swiftness) of this army! Also, if I can help with constructive criticism, I will
As for that rhino, you've done a good job as I could tell
So, do Daemon princes just select normal equipment now or do they have a certain section for themselves in the armoury? However, I like that one is a smaller copy. It ties them together without being boring and they are still SLIGHTLY different anyhow...
Each time you say how many marines, you sdeem to drop one off
First it was 30 (one with banner), than 29 (I assume you left out the banner bearer) and now it's 28, he he he. Still, it's looking good to have got another 20 painted. They're all to such a high quality as well, it's unbelievable! I also love the fact it was 7 lascannons
As well as 11 other heavy weapons and what made it hilarious was the fact there are two "normal" guys as well
Got the quotiants wrong
Still, 735 points is impressive.
So, have you painted all 6,593 points in those two months? if so, you'll have finished everything within that year, inclduing your Chaos Dwarfs! If you can finish 20 marines, I'm sure that 8 and 5 terminators shall be easy enough. Why not do 6 terminators? (One less later, plus it's "20 models" according to land raiders
Keep consistent and what-not.) can't wait for the next update...

I think my work here is done.

(Awesome stuff, dude!)

Ah, didn't realise the CSM one included the new style
I wondered if it was a typo
However, they are off a higher standard than my avergae tabletop miniature and seem to be painted in larger batches than mine (I tire of painting FAR too quickly!). Sounds good to me!
Glad to hear you got to finish the remaining 8 and do 4 terminators and a lord (he can count as two terminators
). Not sure I understand why you need to do an attack bike for the pledge though?
The pictures cam eout well enough and the models are great. Still, at least if they're undercoated, you can get on with the more interesting part once your CDs are done.
As Mr. Xander pointed out, oh so subtley, I'm very excited to hear that you're starting on your CDs later today. You'd better keep to this or better standard
Now, get back to awesomeness!

Ah, I thought that may have been the case. Still, you have enough time, eh?
76 in one evening? Not a bad start
What are you making them from?
76 in one evening? Not a bad start
08-08-2008, 02:35 PM
76? Blimey, that's like three units of 25 Hobbos!
08-08-2008, 03:51 PM
8 BTs! LOL And I thought 4 was harsh!! lol
08-08-2008, 08:26 PM
Geckilian, don't say that
You'll make us other out-of-term students look bad
Although I only have 10 models to paint to finish my currently owned CD! 8 bolt throwers is quite harsh-tastic, unless you're planning for a Legendary Battles size army?
08-08-2008, 08:55 PM
I understand that
(Although, you could replace the death rockets with 4 bolt throwers
) Stone throwers aren't the least time consuming units, that's for sure
Using 4 each turn would be bad... I do agree that removing terror casuing things is a good idea. Why not have 2 Earthshakers still though? (Other than the fact you've made crew for bolt throwers already...)
08-10-2008, 07:25 PM
You've piqued my interest with your BC conversion comment. How did you plan them? To be honest, personally, I find 8 BTs as cheesey, if not more so, than 2 ESs. Just the amount that each works really and their relative points costs.

Looking very nice. I love the use of the dragon-head accessory as a flamer. Looks cool with the hand out of its mouth, but the first shot I couldn't see it properly. I love the overall effect of the model. A flamer-hand, flowing robes, shiny metals, a long-bladed glaive pole-arm and the height afforded him by the book on his trophy rack thing. Excellent! I can't wait to see him finished like your test model. Will the purple be inked onto a silver blade? I think pure purple might be a little too strong is all. Myabe do the same with the gauntlet sticking out of the dragon, but not the dragon itself...
