I've been playing it since the beginning but over the years have been slowly getting rid of it, have the box set minus the 2 plastic teams (already sold) and about 6-8 2nd edition teams worth of models.
PM me if you're after the game and want to talk teams.

*play chaos dwarfs
*don't buy anything now because gw are slowly killing off specailist games whitch means they might release new editions or kill it off completely
I recommend TalkBloodBowl, the best BB forum I reckon, and it's free. I'm Xanthier on there, and I've found it to be immensely helpful in team composition and so forth. Even so, I joined the NAF for the funky coloured dice. Considering the dice go on eBay for ridiculous prices (even the plain white ones) joining the NAF is usually the cheapest option. Or, if you don't mind different dice with very similar symbols, check out
Impact Miniatures Dice. Not quite the real thing, but the symbols are close, and the dice work perfectly fine.
A pitch square is about 28.5 mm per side. 28 mm and the overall pitch will be too short, 29 mm and it'll be too long, both of which messes with the range ruler.
As for getting the pitch and range ruler, check out Tritex games, whenever I check there they've had a pitch and templates etc for sale relatively cheap. Certainly a lot less than £50, that's for sure.
Oh, and pitch dimentions: 13 squares long each half, width is 15 squares, end zones along short edges are 1 square, wide zones along length of pitch are 4 squares each. Hope that helps.
I have to agree Willmark, Blood Bowl is a great game, doesn't take long, and with so many team combinations it's easy to develop a great variety of play styles. I still remember my 2 Flesh Golem and 14 Zombie team fondly...
Cool. I should have some new pics up tonight in my BB team blog. I just finished the 1st treeman and have more halflings on the way.
you could make something like this:

Apparently I now play BB? That is news to me. Might have to start using that force grip on something other then pizza and that pesky rebel alliance...
Bah only those weakling Jedi worry about "unfair".
Huh? I dont think that translates into American English!
I think he is just saying something to make you guys confused
I love BB!
Am halfway through painting a HE team. My ambition is to get my snotling team (Snottingham Snotspur) to a win.
I use the current rulebooks and minis but bought a 2nd edition box off ebay for the astrogranite pitch.
Ooooooo high elves, chuck the pigskin down the field early and often. Surprisingly tough on the line too. All around a great team to handle if played well and a tough team to beat at that.
sounds about right.
back on topic, I forgot to point out you can see one of my BB snotlings on my avatar, doesnt he look tough?
