Whats your fav warhammer novel or series of novels?
I am a big fan of the Slayer series, I have the first six and looking forward to reading the last 3 releases.
Riders of the dead. By far. No monsters, a lot of humans, a lot of culture and at the end its hard to tell if there is an evil side.
Deamonslayer is the best of the slayer serie.
Palace of the plague lord. Only for the CD.
Read all of the Slayer series. Only real warhammer related fiction i could get into, but then i've only read samples of others from the Blacklibrary site.
on this topic, are there any good books for people looking to learn about the world of WH? I really want to have a full understanding of the world of warhammer, etc, so suggestions are welcome n_n
then I'll answer your question Deebo

What about "The world of Warhammer" from 1998
It is an illustrated guide.
I myself think its a fantastic book for learning about the warhammer world in general and a bit about each race including Chaos Dwarfs!

WFRP stuff tends to go into more detail than Warhammer stuff, because it goes beyond the army of each state more.
What's this book with CDs in it? Palace of the Plaguelord?
Out of the novels I've read, I would say my favourite is Storm of Iron...
Sojourn, definitely read some WHFRP books. If need be, I'll post some of mine to you until I go back to university...
I have been trying to read some WHFRP book, like grunge bearer.
grunge bearer? is that set in seattle
Rofl!
The Malus Darkblade books and most other stuff by Dan Abnett.
grunge bearer? is that set in seattle
Lol, i use the wrong word: Grudge Bearer
ignorant armies
orfeo trilogy
It does not really matter if you have not read the other slayer books but they are good and you might miss out on a good read.
Grudgebearer isn't a WHFRP book. (Not sure if I misread the intention there) I do also like the Malus Dakblade series. Can't think what the series is called (Darkblade?)...
Genevieve is Excellent
Heldenhammer was quite good.
AS anybody read Vampire Wars ?
You mean the Carstein trilogy? If so, yes. Very good read!
What is Genevieve about? I think I have seen it some where, perhaps on ebay but no idea what its about.
Have not read the Vampire wars or the Carstien trilogy (if they are different)
But I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the Carstien books, the fluff about them is really cool, it up there with the Nagash fluff which is another book I am hanging to read!
Vampire Wars/Carstein trilogy are good, if a little ott in places
Genevieve a collection of 4 books by Jack Yeovil mostly about the Vampiress Genevieve (although one of them is mostly not about her and the fourth is a collection of short stories of which about half are about her and the others expand on other major characters). They're all very well written though and it's good as it shows vampires other than the usual power mad or twisted sorcerer view that gets into most books.
The only downside is it was written quite a while ago and the setting has move on a bit (it's set around 1st Ed WHFRP, definitly pre 5th (and possibly 4th) ed WF

and so many of the major human authoriaties are different (i.e. electors, Clergy, Monarchs etc).
