Outstanding!!!!!!!!!! All of you.
A few things,  I don't understand why the story sections have been broken up so much?  Makes it hard to follow.

Any photos of how to convert/ sculpt should be done before undercoating.  Abyss's article although good is hard to see the detail on the photos.  Would there be a way to embed hyperlinked images so that what you see is only thumbnails?

I love the 'Eavy Hat (great name).

If there is anything you want me to do just ask.  My commitments are easing up a little at the moment, so I can do some stuff for the next one for certain.

Baggronor's front cover is really nice. The general guy has a look of 'the world is within my grasp!' Happy
This is phantastic. Congrats to all who worked on this first issue! I'll spread the word about this in the other forums and among my friends. Takes Hat off
Very good guys, about time we had pamphlets to convert the unbelievers. But i second Grimstonefire, the story should not be so fragmented (very nice stories, congrats to the writers.)

The front cover is very nice, i especially like the blunderbusses firing from behind their shields.

Well done to all the contributors, hopefully one day i can join your ranks.
Good stuff, but I agree with Grimstonefire that the way some of the content is ordered is a little baffling. On the final page, there's stuff continued from page 3! It might be better to just put everything in order and just leave some white space here and there - legibility and ease of browsing should probably be the number one priority, rather than filling every gap.

Oh, and I didn't know you were putting the Astragoth rules I did in there - thanks!
Well, my laptop isn't working along right now so I'll download and print it at work tomorrow! From the reactions above it must be a good read! Cheers!:
Well, one of the advantages of using the internet rather than print is that page count isn't a huge concern - it can be as long as it needs to be. I know you obviously wanted a hard limit for how long the webzine would be (because otherwise it'd just go on forever...) but I think you should have overcome it with, say, font size, rather than chopping everything up and piecing it together like a puzzle.

As I say, the content is great, but it's really hard to enjoy it all!
Managed to download it and was positively surprised! Takes Hat off

I really dig the front cover art, classic!!!

All in all great work to all who contributed. Hope to do so as well in a future issue. Got plans enough I tell ya!
I have only quickly scanned it and it looks awesome! The front cover is amazing. You could of asked me to finish off the mage and i would of gladly done so. If you would like an updated pic then let me know.
As said so many times before awesome piece of work - great job - all of you - now keep them comming Wink

- and that front cover is a truely masterpiece for sure - Mr. Baggronor. Great, great work Takes Hat off

Pyro-send me a link to an updated one and I can add it. Wanted it to be a surprise and all! Wink

lol well it was definately a suprise. Im working on making a base for it right now so that it matches the pyromancer, mounted on a cavalry base but with a shadowmancer theme. Ill try get it done today or tomorrow.

Very nice, professional looking.

Some minor nit-picking:
A few too many "continued on page..." where you could probably have coped by just rearranging some of the pages a little more and adding images.  Breaks up the flow a lot.  Particularly annoying with the Astragoth rules since they are split over three pages rather than one and a half, making them more difficult to print out and use. Some of the 'Eavy Hat models could be used for this purpose (although it is nice to have them on one page, I don't think anyone would have been disappointed with a full-size uncropped Ishkur Taurus taking up half a page, or a larger image of the Blood Bowl Team)

A lot of magazines have a tiny image or initials to mark the end of an article, so you know that is the end it is definitely isn't continued anywhere.  Maybe a red H or something would be nice for the mag.

You've heard me complain enough about portrait webzines, so I'll stop mentioning it.

I know that as soon as I put something out there, I notice little mistakes I've made everywhere, so I won't bother pointing all the litle ones out unless you want to go back and redo it.

Very good first effort.  Good balance of articles and artwork, although some of the pages that are just text could be broken up with the odd stock image.  I've made a few new Dark Lands skyline images that might help.
We should consider submitting this Webzine as a news article to Table Top Gaming News. http://www.tabletopgamingnews.com/

Might attract some new eyes. Happy
Saw an advert for this on the Under Empire and I was impressed. Not that I should expect anything less from you lot. I only wish every site had one. My only probelm was the amount of 'continued on page' such and such bits.
Excellent work guys ,congratulations to all involved  its great when fanproduced work is so good and i am sure this will go from strength to strengthTakes Hat off

Willmark deserves the blessings of Hashut for driving the projectBig Grin
Having a small break. Exams and junk see. But I'm back now. If you need a hand with the next issue, gimme a nod.
I think I still have the article I wrote somewhere. Yes, I still do! Only the first half but its better than nothing.
Great job everybody (especially Wilmark)! Cheers!
The Webzine is outstanding!

P.S. I'm working for a very special tutorial for the next webzine. It'l be something steampowered (or should i say demonpowered).
Stick me in as a backup proof-reader for the Fall issue.  I can't promise I'll have the time until much nearer then.  I also have a couple of articles that I managed to dig up (put them in a place where I knew I'd be able to find them - then promptly forgot where that place was) so I'll send them to you soon.

Here are the errors so far (there weren't actually as many as I thought, so I gave up part way through):

p16 The Daemon’s Stump: "Itis reputted that a deamon of Khorne was imprisioned here."
should be "It is reputed that a daemon of Khorne was imprisoned here."  Someone was typing with their thumbs on that sentence!

p16 The Falls of Doom: "Chaos Darfs"

One that is not an error, but using a tinyurl (p14) is not a great idea since they might go out of business, and it is a bit scary to click on a link if you don't know exactly where it will take you from the address. You could shrink the font size of a url to get it to fit on the line, or embed the link in a word.

It might be a good idea for people to print out booklet versions to give to people at conventions and tournaments (a bit cheaper than the t-shirts)
