Hm, wouldn't this mean that everyone is showing off half-painted miniatures in the end?
Well, it was a productive Sunday for me.

Before:

After:

It's just GW Scorched Brown with a GW Dark Flesh highlight (that's why I managed to get them done in 6 hours).

Wallacer where did you get these figs, THEY ARE AWESOME!

They are Rackham Miniatures Wolfen for their now pretty much defunct skirmish game, Confrontation.

Painting quickly has never been my problem.  My problem is motivating myself to actually start painting in the first place (God bless that Pyro Stick).

So... when is the next painting marathon?
The toll bill to New Zealand would be horrific.
Better to spend the money on Chaos Dwarfs, Kera.

I wonder if there's much enthusiasm out there for another painting marathon this weekend?

Why not do the next one on the 9th of August?

Sounds good

P.S. *starts singing* Kera fancies wallacer!

HB, you are a trouble maker of the first order.  I've got my eye on you.

I've undercoated my toy soldiers for this weekend, so i'm ready to go for painting marathon #2.  Just have to decide which of them i'm actually going to paint.  Flesh Hounds maybe.  They didn't cost me anything, but i'd still like to see them looking all painted and useable.

Regardless of which day I paint them this weekend they won't be getting pictures posted until Monday when I get back to my work computer (although Monday my time is probably Sunday for most of you anyway).

I think theres been so many because Wallacer is obsessed with it lol.

Obsessed is an ugly word.  I prefer "unhealthy fixation".
It just sounds classier.

Well, i've been sick recently, so my upload is somewhat late.
However....

(yeah, I know, it's an awful picture..)

So whens the next one going to be? The 31th of August or the 7th of September? Or does anyone want to suggest a different date?

@Wallacer: Thats the 3rd person that painted a bazooka!?! Crazyness!

There's no such thing as too many bazookas Tongue

7th of September works for me.

Well, I decided to paint some old Empire figures i've had lying around for ages (just the painting though.  The flocking was done later).

Ghrask Dragh Wrote:
Nice job wallacer, old miniatures rule, are they citadel?

Yep, they're all old Citadel figures from the '80s.
I think they're Empire although some of them may be Brettonian or DoW.

Well, I've got some Snotlings to paint, so i'll be in.

Remember you could always just paint your figures the week before and then post them on the Marathon weekend (a bit cheaty I know, but at least it keeps you painting Wink)

[edit]

Not really sure if last weekend was an official painting marathon weekend or not, but I did paint some Snotlings anyway.  Didn't have time to base them, unfortunately.

Ive been away for a while and it doesnt look like anyone organised another marathon so what does everyone think about having the next one on the 18th/19th of October?

Sounds good.  I've got a bunch of Mighty Empires stuff to paint before my Chaos Spearhead arrives.

I finally have some spare time to access the internet...

I got some mighty empires bitz painted on the weekend, although I only spent about 4 hours as I ran out of time.

grunts Wrote:
mighty empires! classic, I love it.  do you play with the original rules?

Old school is the only school.

Ouch.  Sorry to hear about that, Minty.
My old flatmate's cat used to attack space marine figures.
You'd better be careful...
