I say make some bolttrowers
Well, you could have boarding harpoons/anchor drops (a.k.a. bolt throwers), broadside cannons (Earthshakers [Seashakers?]), frontal cannons (death rockets), flying scout ship (you've posted a pic of a flying ship before) as a Lammasu/Lord, first boarding party (hobgoblins), Captain killing assasins (small unit of sneaky gits), ship-slaves (goblins of any kind), scurvy crew (orcs of any kind), slave-keepers (Black Orcs keeping the others in line) etc.
Maybe one or two bolt throwers could be made from an anchor as the basic shape. just attach some ropes and a bolt and place it on a tripod.
Go back to creating a scenic base for the army (I.E. that ship) and maybe add ship sides and pieces of rigging and mast to some models or as unit fillers...
I think you shode have an earthshaker cannon as a main forward gun and have some pistol uints (conit as blunderbuss), defintly have lots of bolt throwers (hrapoin lanchers) and hobgoblins with grappeling hukes (hand wepons)
you could create a cannon with a grapling hook in it as ammo (for entering other ships) and use it as a boltthrower
A diorama display board with a pirate ship would be awesome to make next.

To contiune your naval theme, why not make your bolt throwers look like whale harpoons? (as I think someone suggested earlier)

Not sure about Whales, but in Man o' War Lizards have giant sea turtles.
Plus, there are bound to be other sea monsters who deserve a good harpoonin'.
