I found these at the local ACE Hardware.
For the Blunderbuss you can get metal tubular rivets, they should be hollow on the small end. Take a Dwarf thunderer, carve off the little aiming knob and you can slide them right on. It allows for some nice consistency. They are very cheap, so one maybe two boxes will be a small investment and give you a nice consistent look.
For the hats I picked up Rubber well nuts. You'll need to to figure out the sizes, as I lost the notes of what size I used for the most part. However they are very cheap. You'll still need to figure out some sort of decoration for them, but it's a great starting point. The only small problem is the hole on top. A little green stuff or a tack work just fine. Stick a spike on the tack and it looks even nicer.
