Hello again.

- Now when the new edition of Warhammer 40k out and the now "starter box is around the corner" - I decided to start up where I left, with my Ork/Traitor Army.

- But I have a problem with a single Warboss and his retinue - the Warboss is possessed by a greater deamon, and his retinue is Ork Boyz with demonic powers.

- So here is the problem, I need some help to make them all look more demonic in apperance - such as their heads, arms, body or even weapons...

- I have some ideas, but for now it is only to use the metal chaos spawn and some chaos mutation sprue...

I hope you'll help - cheers all Cheers! Takes Hat off
Erm, I'd love to help out, but I don't quite follow what you are doing..

Orks that look deamony?  Deamons that look like orks?  Orks with daemon faces?  Are demonboyz a special type of ork?

If you could provide a bit more of your "vision" I'd be happy to help out.

Sorry I'll do it more clear right now Happy

Bloodletters have these really cool spines that run down the back, might work, plus they are seperate from the model so it's easy to convert.
Maybe instead of the orcs holding the swords etc they can be growing out of the arms, like the spawn arms you know?

You going for any god in particular? nurgle would be easier to convert, just cover them in boils Sick khorne give them red skin (they already look pretty angry so orcs would work well for khorne Mad ) tzeentch and slaanesh would be a little harder though, but could still be done IMO. Let me know how it goes.

- Sound cool, I'll look into that with the bloodletters - I didn't know that about the spines so thanks Happy

- Well no god at this point, but I'll keep my work updatede in the conversion forum later - when some of them is done

- Keep the ideas coming all Cheers!

Ahh, now it becomes clear.

Don't forget the Spawn Sprues and the possessed sprues as well.  The possessed arms and heads fit very well on the ork bodies. Wings would be a good way to show the possession of your boss..

the new plastic spawns have tons of bitz and the possessed/mutation sprues are wonderful.. also, take a look at the plastic chaos lord in terminator armor, there's tons of bitz in that box too.
Spawn wings are awesome, stick them on anything you can Happy
oh, don't forget the new daemonic Soulgrinder model. it will definately be something that you could steal the torso from to daemonify your ork boss too.
you could also panit them red (as bloodletters?). i thing that would make them look more demonic
Wow so many cool ideas thanks all - keep them coming I have been looking on the POSSESSED section in white dwarf nr.333 for some inspiration and some ideas come alonge... But along way to go from here, so keep me updated with your ideas Happy

Ohh about the Soulgrinder, how big is it? compared to a Warboss???
Because I like the idea, but I'm having some problems with the size thing - since I don't have to model (the soulgrinder)
The torso of the soulgrinder is about the same size as Ghazzkhul or a tad bit larger.. but with your boss being possessed, I'd imagine that his size would increase and therein suggest the Souldgrinder.  Now, you'd probably have to use the arms supplied with the soulgrinder as they are the appropriate size for the torso.
i'd say lot's of random bits like a spawn maybe a bloodletters sword?

Ohh okay cool, I'll look into that - it sounds like a really cool idea Happy Cheers! Takes Hat off

A few ideas would be to use some odds and ends from the daemons (including iolder ones), sculpt random tentacles flailing out, paint their eyes daemonically, add tyranid parts, give them multiple limbs and heads, razor teeth, melded weapons to the flesh, something (like a chain around the ankle) dragging behind as they float up into the air, perhaps have a daemon brusing forth from an ork's head (I've done this and it looks cool, but it's more for if you want a daemon to be coming out), oversized body parts. Look at the daemon models over the years for some inspiration...
