On the Black Library Homepage, they have noted that there is a short story competition called 'Death and Dishonor.' It's...well, you can read the details on their site. I plan on entering, but I have no idea what to write about. Perhaps someone could write a story relating to Chaos Dwarves and get it in the book! That would do some serious good for Chaos Dwarf publicity.

According to the website, this is actually how they recruit new authors anyway. The real prize would be getting published and potentially commissioned to write more stuff for them. Not that my dream is to write genre fiction or anything, but getting a foot in the door of professional writing is worth a lot to me, even if it's the weird back door covered in gargoyles and gothic runes

Ah, now that seems a bit more appealing. Shame i'm moving to France tomorrow and it's going to be hectic over the next couple of weeks otherwise i'd probably have entered.
I also like how they said "humans, dwarfs or elves; good or bad" rather than "humans, elves - good or bad - or dwarfs". The future's bright for CD's
Yeah, that caught my eye too. I'm just lucky the two-part story (coming to about 5,000+ words in total) I already wrote is set in The Empire, or I'd have to write something from scratch for this.
If I win though, Word of Hashut will have the exclusive third-part!

Sounds good. Alas, I'm not of lengthy writing style... Uness, my Twilight Campaign ramblings are long enough and can be adapted well enough to fit into the storyline... Either way, CD mentions in the stories are great, even if it's not a major role...
