I was just thinking about how Chaos Dwarf generals are sometimes forced to play by Dwarf rules in tournaments (how unfair!) and how we don't really have any great models to represent ornithopers - you basically have to use a Great Taurus or a Lammasu. But the Assault on Black Reach set comes with these great Orcish Ornithopters that would go great in a Chaos Dwarf-themed Dwarf army for Warhammer, I reckon.
Yep, this idea was briefly brought up in the Black Reach thread.
They'd make very nice Gyrocopters indeed.
First person to make that conversion gets 25 slaves from me.
I had the same thought. I had a chance to look up close on the things when I visted Warhammer World and for now I'm refraining from buying it as I don't REALLY like it. It's the best option but I think it's not suited for converting. Anyway, I'd love to see someone try!

I am actually in the middle stages of convertifying one of the new deth koptas from that set into a great taurus for my lord. I have only a few more things to finish then I will be on to primer and paint.
Slev, why not simply send it to the first person to post a conversion as a replacement. That way no one even has to deplete their ork army

I think if I convert it, it'll be to have a hobgoblin in it and I'd change it from having rockets to a less explodey weapon
