just an idea, but i would put all feet (not entire leg) in one direction - now it will be weard to see him walk in a direction with his rear leggs pointing backwards...
other then that and taking your previous work in consideration, i'm sure he'll look great.

@ jolpis & Kera foehunter: Thanks!
@ Pyro Stick: Hmm, I know what you mean. Thought about it too when I did him, but decided it wasnt really needed since he is still a sorceror and not a fighting machine...

And I wanted to show as much flesh as possible to get the "turning to stone" effect.
Thanks! I had never used GS before, other than filling gaps, when I started with my Chaos Dwarfs. Read a tutorial somewhere on fire, but I dont remember where right now... But the basics were, do small cones to get the shape and work from there and remember to keep your tool wet at all time!
I just woke up and dont remember all the names of the paints I use, all GW or Vallejo. But I start with painting all the flames white, and then buld it up form there with sunburst yellow, golden yellow, light orange, blood red, a darker red(gore or something similar I think) and then add hull red on the tip of the flames...
I am going to recommend you for a showcase gallery tjub, not sure what the other staff think but I reckon you deserve one.
Only thing I would change on astragoth is to give him a white beard. He is supposed to be ancient and it would help him stand out more.
Oh, thanks!
Well since everybody seem to have an opinion on Astragoth not being to old and grumpy looking I might have to redo some of his painting, it'll take some time thou case Ive got loads of other stuff to paint asap.
Quick question, whats Astrogoths hat made from? Also hope you don't mind me using the pin hats as well, they're just so easy to use.
Sure use whatever ideas you want from this blog thats the reason its here, the best feedback you can get is to see that someone used your ideas in their own work. Thou direct copys of the same models/convertions is a bit boring.
His hat is made from the top of a pencil...

...the horns are from a Beastmen banner top. The rest is just a plain warhammer skull and Green stuff.

love the color on the banners! go beastmen
Heh, it was just some random photo I found on the net... Needed a pic at the banner top since I used the horns from it for my hat.
My very much WIP-version of a Colossus, I've had it around for some time but dont think Ive showed any pics yet. I know it differ from how a Colossus is discribed in the fluff. The plan is to use it with the steam tank rules, hence the "steam shooter" on top...

Tjubs, what did you use as the base for your kollossus? It looks like something from forgeworld and I'd really like to know.
No, its parts from a Scotia Grendel War Golem. Not this exact one but something similar...

@Kera Foehunter: Dont know about iron on tattoos, but it seems painfull...
Some better pics of the Wolfriders

Finished the last CD crew to my Earthshaker Cannon so I guess I have to paint something now...

Hmm, just struck me that none of my CDs have any eyebrows. I might have to add them to the existing models to get them to look even more comic, what do you think? Good or bad idea? They would be mostly on the lower part of the hat, under the pin. Think that Ill have to do a concept to paint before I decide...
But do you have to make the horns so OTT?
OTT?
Sorry, Over The Top
Ah, I see. He is the boss, so he should have the biggest horn/hat. Maybe its just the greenskin in me trying to get out.
Thanks all, really get the energy to go back and paint with all this positive feedback!

@Kera Foehunter: They are from a Tzeentch banner top/icon.
