Great stuff, Loki! Happy
The guy holding the brazier is really nice.  Good lighting effects too.
Loki, we are trying to feature AoW Dwarf Lord of Chaos models for the next WoH issue.  Do you think you could take some larger pictures with a white background and PM them to me? Happy

Great work.

that deserves a handful of super-slaves!

I agree. *reaches for the keys to the slave pen*

Group shot time!  Awesome work dude. Happy

Immortals ftw.
The anvil is a nice idea.  Would look great with some kind of magical effect around the altar itself.

Loki Wrote:
any ideas on the magical effect as i think that sounds cool and would like to give it a go Happy

I'm thinking something along the lines of when the Ark of the Covenant is opened in Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark.  Perhaps you could model bits of wire coming out of the altar and paint it electric blue to simulate lightning.

The paintjob on the big hat unit is creepily realistic.
Wow the zargod model looks really good painted. Thats probably the same colour scheme i would have used but i would have given him a brown beard probably, or black with flame highlights.

Here is my unit of Slayers of Hashut

Ive been trying to think of what to call the slayers i painted as chaos dwarf and slayers of hashut is perfect. I couldnt call them Dwarf Slayers since thats basically what they are called already, eventhough i was going to think of them as Dwarf Slayers, but in the sense that they are Slayers of Dwarfs.

Very nice background for the slayers.

I have a rep at my local gaming clubs of producing armies like they are going out of fashion, in the past 3 months i have fully completed 2 armies 1 for 40k and one for fantasy as well as 3/4 of a another fantasy army and half of another 40k army along with some bits for my flames of war.

Damn, i could never paint that fast.

Also great news i am getting my hands on a CD man of war fleet off some one at my local club this Thursday so expect to see them on here soon as well  Happy

Cool, what size fleet is it? 1000 points? 2000 points? Make sure it has a lot of thunder rollers in it. Those ships are great.

Loki Wrote:
I now have the man of war fleet, i dont know how many points it is i am sure the Pyro will let me know Happy

I got 1 X Great Leveller Battlebarge  1 X Thunderfire Battlebarge 3 X Hull-Destroyers and 3 X Thunder-Rollers  with the original card sheets in mint for £25 , the models have never been painted only stuck together so i will be the first to put a paint brush to them.

Thats only a 600 point fleet. Its practically the minimum legal size. A legal chaos dwarf fleet needs 1 Thunderfire Battlebarge and 2 Ship of the Line Squadrons, which you have, and you cant have more Great Levellers than Thunderfire Battlebarges. So you have a perfect sized fleet to get to know the game. It will probably a 1000 point fleet after you have added Man o War Cards and a Sorceror.

@ Kera the year was 1993 Happy

lol i was only 3 when they came out then. But its not as bad as some of my other models. A large portion of my cd army is older than i am.

Loki Wrote:
@ Pyro Thanks mate for that i new you would be able to help Happy Just have to get them all painted up now, have been looking forward to this so cant wait to get the spray can out and get to work Happy

Well so far i have only painted one of my cd man o war models, plue a great taurus. It took me so long as well. Hopefully the thunder rollers etc will be much easier to paint since they are about half the size of the thnderfire battlebarge. But then ive still got 3 fleet boxes of cd man o war models to paint You are definately going to be finished before i am lol.

Loki Wrote:
When i play ubertechies CD army nearly every model in his army is older than me Happy

I bought one of Ubertechies models on ebay a few days ago. It was one of sjoerds sculpts so its not older than me.

Loki Wrote:
How big is your fleet then is you have 3 boxes it must be a big one ?

Well if each fleet box has 350 points of models then i guess i have 1350 points worth of models but after adding Sorcerers and man o war cards plus an extra Ship of the Line Squadron (ill probably use death galleys as thunder rollers or something) it will be a 2000 point fleet. Ive written up my Fleet List on Doom Harbour if you want to read more.

edit: Looks like my fleet list is only 1500 points. I didnt add all my great taurus' and ive only used 2 thunderfire battlebarges instead of the 3 that i have.

Loki Wrote:
I did not know that Ubertechie was selling his models? do you know if he has sold his whole army or just the odd model ?

Thats a good size fleet then Happy i will have to check out Doom Harbour now that i have some man o war stuff Happy

I think he was just selling off a few models to see how much they would go for. He only sold the sjoerd blunderbuss and a renegade. The renegade went for £11.50 or something and the blunderbuss went for about £3 each. Cant wait to get mine.

Did someone just say ALESTORM?! \m/ Terror on the high seas

Alestorm ftw! They live like 45 min away from me.

Thats a nice Thunder Roller and great taurus unit. Are you going to give your ships flags? You can print them out on my man o war forum.
Wow, you have Man'O'War CD fleet.. this is so cool! The minis are pretty difficult to get an expensive, right? How big is your fleet so far and do you also play the game? How is it? My uncle has several fleets but I never played with him for he collects more than playing. A ship game is probably pretty cool. There is a tabletop called "Uncharted Seas", it has evil dwarfs, too (the Shroud Mages) and their boats are pretty much how a fleet of my dwarfs would look like ^^
Stunning work!
