Could another rule be that people cannot have pictures in their signatures...
I know that you Xander have one in yours, however it does break up the text / conversation, and creates extra scrolling...
Just a thought - something that we over at W-E use to try and keep it all easy to read.

I understand that there can be a lot of white space, especially in the example you outlined, however filling it with an image breaks up the text. The white space serves a purpose in regards to showing where the text is, and where the text isn't. Having one line of text and then an image afterwards, it can be easy to miss that one line.
A lot of the Avatars on this site are quite large, and appear to be specially made for the site... which I think is very characterful, and I think that is where people can express themselves in image form.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not telling you how to run the site, I am more just listing my own preferences. Whatever the vast majority of members decide is what will go, and I just hope a lot of others also have my preference.
Anyway, sorry if my suggestion felt confrontational...

That is quite a nice idea! And certainly another good motivation to finish those 1-2k points worth of big-hats anytime soon.

Sigh. More motivation to get pics of the army up on the site. Four years in the making!

nice idea, very motivating! but i think that 4k points are too much, it would be very amaizing, if someone makes 3k points, and this should be honored, too.

It seems that mods can award themselves some slaves!
Just to prove it I have temporarily awarded myself 999 slaves. I'll change it back tonight.

I think we should be able to see why people have slaves when we click on the number, like the feedback system. When people donate slaves they can add a reason for it.

Awesome. Spammers are abusing the calendar function.

I'll be handing out plenty of slaves for wiki updating, even if it is just to correct spelling mistakes. Anyone who can fill in some more Chaos Dwarf Names or add to the Other Warhammer Armies shall receive a small crop.

To get in on the wiki: Find a page than needs more info, or correcting, or links - then edit it! Or add a page you think might be needed. The Wiki Plans page has a few ideas. It is really easy to do. Adding pictures and such is a bit more involving but I don't think there is much demand for them so much.

Chaos is one of the more tricky armies since you can have a huge variety of playing styles with pretty much any general. Might be best to have a section for each type within the Chaos Section. Remember that unlike most armies there is a full Chaos page so you won't need to cover everything in much detail on the armies page, but you on the Chaos page.
I seem to have lost the ability to award slaves! You'll have to wait

Mods need slaves in order to donate them to other people. You should probably ignore their Slave count since the more prolific donaters will have much lower counts.
As for a Tomb Kings page: I'll have to put my foot down on this. This is first and foremost a Chaos Dwarf wiki, not a Warhammer wiki. Ideally, every page will have a reference to Chaos Dwarfs or Hobgoblins (and less amounts on other related races like greenskins). A Tomb Kings page goes beyond this, there isn't anything you can write that that will relate it to CDs like you can with the three other army pages we have for O&G, Chaos and Ogre Kingdoms (not that those pages are great right now). Xander has made this clear in the past, but I can't allow it until he says "Yes, make it into a Warhammer wiki".

The Other Warhammer Armies page was created for just that.

Awesome, I was wondering what these were, can I suggest a medal for contributions to the modeling section as well. E.g. Xander's video guides have probablly helped far more people to take up CDs than the wiki, surely it deserves a medal of its own

How about awards for 'evangelists', spreading the word via their signatures in other forums? Should help on the Google front too.

Give it time, you've got some slaves so you are doing things right.
As for the wiki: The way to show pictures is a bit more complicated than most things, especially for a beginner. The Code Reference page needs to be updated a bit to make it a bit clearer on how to add images. The easiest way is to copy the code that someone else has done and change it for your image. You have to upload the image first, offsite image linking isn't supported on this wiki.

I've got some ideas I just need to get down in writing. I don't want to win if I'm the only entrant!
