For Games Day i am sculpting an unorthodox chaos dwarf, with no hat, and no nose either! :0!
This is the start, bear in mingd this is the bare bones of the sculpt, only spending about half an hour on it already, whilst watching the simpsons

Not much to be seen yet. The face shows some kind of grim expression already.
And I fully agree that television is a great background for hours of sculpting. ^^
Its a curious way to start scratch sculpting a model... I'll be interested to see how this comes out.

The start of the weapon, and the sculpt so far, the head is all but finished, i have tried to sculpt a nose but it just didnt work.....

I have sculpted a nose as best i could, and a moustache. I have also positioned the arms to how i want them to look, will sculpt musculature shortly
Also i will be entering him in the youngbloods catagory, because i am only 14 and cannot play with the big boys

Today i have sculpted the sleeves on his arms ( i am not confidant enough to do musculature yet), given him a weapon and make him a fancy shield.

Okay, so THAT looks cool! I think it was a good idea with the axe head instead of that big hammer. I also like the pose, very much like a CD lord/hero. Kudos!

Thats a great scratch built mini its got alot of character, even though he's got that kind of laid of laid back look leaning on his shield you know he'll knock you out with one 'eadbutt

He is actually my first chaos dwarf in my army, i plan to buy some dwarf warriors and maybe some black orcs and he will be my general
Incredible work, I really couldn't see where you were going with all this until the finished mini started to emerge, but I love it! The pose is just fnatastic. I might try something similar, but give mine a helm

i know this is a old post but. Warp lockmonkeydid you use a brush for the deail ruin on the cloak
He could of used a pen. I have a 0.5mm pen at the moment but im going to get a 0.01 when i get into town next. If he had a really fine detail brush (like me) then he could of done it that way. I doubt it was transfers
great work there WLM! Awesome for its originality.
Yeah i did use a 0.05 pen. Those things are really useful when doing fine detail and for putting shadows in those nooks and crannies
so where do you get a .01marker

Most large stationary shops should sell .01markers
