Servants of Hashut, i like to introduce my Chaos Dwarfs! Takes Hat off
Maybe you know my first dwarfs, they are in this forum, too. this is the complete unit!
I was inspired by many other artists in this and other CD-forums. Thank you very much, guys! ^^

My Warriors. I tried to give everyone of them a unique look, so they have different masks.

The other side. you can see the armor of the warriors

This is the commando unit. sorry, it's not the best photo quality

This is the second wave of dwarfs i made. The masks are more detailled and they have converted arms from the thunderers sprue. i like them Happy

As you see, i also thried to make the armors a little unique. i like the spikey scales.

Hm... some greens Big Grin

Comments are welcome Takes Hat off
thank you very much for the kind comments, folks! Takes Hat off

aren't the chains of the standard bearer from the dark elf command sprue?

no, they are made of small chains from an ear clip (?). i found it on the ground of the art rooms in my school ^^. i also try to finde some small chains in a store, but i have no success Unsure

take a look

Excellent work Snotling they look very cohesive and individual at the same time, the bug-eyed guy is my favourite I think.

Maybe a Dawi Zharr female if you're feeling brave...  That's a challenge for you actually Tongue

Mwahaha, not really, i allready started my little miss, and she's so sexy Takes Hat off
but she will be a member of may slave unit... you know, for the dicipline :0

hm, no i don't wnat to enter something to the contest... because, it isn't really Rykarth, the only mini with a 2hand weapon i have is my miner champ... but he doesn't look like i imagine Rykarth, Rykarth has no bare arms and a lantern Takes Hat off
but you can show GW everything you want, feel free to use my pics for everything you want!
i allready thougt about sending a mail to the german WD, because there are to much commercials in it and i suggest to add some Fan-Fiction and pics of player minis. you know... for the community Cheers!

Just a question, what is that guy with the cool spear?

he is.... a warrior! Happy
a warrior with spear (or halbert) and shield, to be exacly. first, he shall get an axe, but his weapon grows and grows and became a halbert Happy. The champions body is better than the other to test this kind of "gasmask". i doesn't have the time to realize my plans, but i've got ideas for "Smog-Berzerkers" and they would get these kind of masks (just a little different - the masks are not to protect them from the gas, they make them breath it! Sick

I'vejust found the link to this bit on your blog, kindly ignore my last foolish post...

no, it's okay! i added the links after you reminded me on my other blog. well... thanks for that ^^

don't say that, Xander, you increase the pressure ^^
i was very fast, but then i got a job and now.... my back hurts Respect to the Mask! ... well, i try to show you the finished unit next week... i'll try ^^

Headblasting is cool... BANG!! Takes Hat off
Well, i just noticed, that i forgot to post my finished shadow sorcerer in this forum, because i finished him while CDO was (mysteriously) down. i know that just some members of CDO are at HoH, too, so i shall post my sorcerer here too (and to complete my "gallery", too).
while i am working on my BBs (i would say... 75% done) you can check out this guy, he's called Riddik (because of the head ^^). a allready had a game with him, he used the lore of fire... but he is a shadow mage, so most time, he burned himself Takes Hat off
but hey... he is Dawi-Zharr, the fire couldn't harm him... but it was funny Happy

I finally finished my Shadow Sorcerer after I started him with the sketch in January. Now i want to you his journey from sketch over the conversion to the finished warlock.

when get an idea or when I'm bored in school i makes sketches of minis i would like to convert. I'm not talented in drawing but it helps me to think about projects in the future and to keep them in mind.

I converted him with many other dwarfs at the same time. Step by step he became complete. i was happy with the result but i didn't paint him directly after i completed the conversion, i wanted to build more to have more CD-minis, even if they aren't painted.

But now it's time to paint. i started with him, because he's a individual mini, not a part of a unit. The colour sheme i quite uncommon for CDs and quite different when you compare it with the sheme of my army. but that's okay, he is a unique character, he's not dressed like an ordinary solider. the colours look more like lore of shadows or death, too, much more than a red-black sheme.

well, 'nuff said, now it's your turn to comment this guy ^^
uuuuh... two questions... do you really wanna know the answers? are you sure... okay, let me invite you to my realm of madness...
you habe to think like a CD and i think a CD would paint goggles like this

Happy
okay, i'm kiddin'.... i prime the goggles black and start with a mixture of Snakebite leather and some black. in the web you will find masses of turtorials how to paint Gems and i use the same technique for glasses.
add some Yellow (i used golden yellow) in the mix. after that, paint a small stripe of pure yellow on the bottom of the glasses for the last highlight. to give them a more realistic look, make small point or stripe of white in the black area.
fell free to add some varnish, the it is more glossy Happy

the highlighting from black is nothing special. but except at black areas they are never "really" black at the beginning... the red parts for example were started with very very dark red (nearly black). the highlighted as usual. i made thin highlights with pure scab red an mixed it up with dwarf flesh, this is better for dark red than bloodred. the last highlight was set with pure dwarf flesh...

hope, i was helpfull Takes Hat off
thank you, but there are many members of CDO who are much better than me ^^. but nevertheless, thanks ^^
hm... i don't really know, i'm a slow painter, i make many breaks while painting, but i worked on him during two days... maybe 5 hours "real" work ^^.
thanks... no, i did'n made back photos, because his back is'n special. just some scales, nothing more. but i'll see if i make some more photos for you, but first when is finished the BBs... then i can also make the pics for Xander... he want a photo of everyone of my warriors... freak Tongue
it would be cool to see a whole unit in equipped like him!
okay, the parts are (form the top) a goblin spear, a dwarf axe, the most important thing i think is the motor of a Chaos Space Marine chainsaw sword motor and then a part of a Dwarf crossbow.... that's all Big Grin
dum di dumm... lululu.... chicka wah wah....

enough? Happy
Those goggles are just fantastic!
hm okay... here they are

single rows:

i don't want the capes for my normal warriors, so two are missing till i've get some backs without capes. right now, 16 are enough, but it looks pretty uncomplete Unsure
but hey, i'm happy that i've finally finish them! Takes Hat off
do you have any favorite?
Those are jaw-droppingly good!
The standard is so original, you've outdone yourself once again snotling.
thnaks a lot guys... i'll hope they will be jaw-breaking for the enemies armies *mwahahaha* Hashut!

ehem, okay... as common, WIPs are in the conversation-section
http://www.chaos-dwarfs.com/forum/showth...=61&page=2
Great paint job on the bolt throwers, the rust is excellent. How did you make the crossairs on the second bolt thrower?
Also that rag doll is very cool.
I can't believe you made puppets as hobgoblins, I had the same idea basing them on the Rackham minis although mine didn't quite come out as well as yours.

Great work btw, love the burning guys.
Those dolls really are kind of creepy...
