At Grimstone's suggestion I'm starting this blog for the repainting of my Dawi Zharr.

As of today, the following minis are now up to standards:

Chaos Dwarf Lord on Great Taurus (Kurgan Grudgebearer)

My 20 strong regiment of Immortals (CD Warriors with Great Weapons)

And 8 other warriors with Great Weapons (part of the Nineveh Regiment)

And here is the list of things to update by the end of the year:

2 Earthshakers (done August 3, 2009);
Hashut's Children (6 Bull centaurs with Full command, done); and
The Temple Guard (6 more Bull Centaurs, with a musician).

Oh, yes and about 25 Marauder era Chaos Dwarfs and a Tenderizer (done)

I will also convert the 3 BFSP Miners command models into the start of another CD Warrior Regiment.

The object here is to touch up the current paintjobs to my current standard and to redo the bases to match the dark bases for the done models.
Unit at a time - usually in blocks of 5 or so.  I find it makes standardizing them easier.
To be honest, I've never checked out how big the army is points wise.  I've got at least 3K with two lords and 4 core choices, but I need to get more core before I can field 4K or more.
The next model to be redone is the Sorcerer Lord

on his Lammasu

I've always been happy with the colour scheme, so all that'll happen here is a couple of touchups, some highlighting, and a little rebasing.

And now the Sorcerer Lord on the Lammasu redone (three boys, and other duties mean that I generally only get to paint at lunch or before work).

Here's the rider

And the Lammasu shots

And of course the critter's face (again)

Comments and constructive criticisms always appreciated.
Thank you, and now to rebase the hobgoblins (the small unit of 10).
By "a different colour, I take it that you mean the "wonderful" black and red colour scheme it was painted in back in early 90s?  That colour scheme was the inspiration behind choosing something that looked dark and nasty, not bright and colourful.

And because I was able take some photos today and al these lads needed was some rebasing  My Hobgoblin warriors:

Again constructive criticism is always appreciated.
And now yesterday's efforts

Two Bolt throwers

Gath Firestone

And one of the first CD minis I ever painted - Ashkelon Runeforger

The stone patio block is also known as my front steps...
Those would be the neighbours, I don't have good lighting inside and am too cheap to buy a decent light, so I take pics outdoors.
It's been a while but here are some new pics

Kurgan Grudgebearer on foot

Since with the Indy GT rules, I'm using him as a Daemonsmith with the spelleater blade, I created a "Spelleater" rune taking Hashut's Rune and the Valaya rune (the one that protects Dwarfs from magic)

A Daemonsmith with the Blade of Bedevilment - Curse Rune and a Daemon Rune

Borath the Cruel with the Hell blade of Hashut (rune of Fire, combined with the Hashut Rune

And my tenderiser/ Daemoneater

I've also updated the Death Rockets, but as that update only reqired a rebasing and some touch ups, I haven't taken new photos.
Nice use of the blood bowl models. I think you should do more with the bases though. Like paint on some lava effect or something. And its nice to see a tenderiser although it could do with more colour. One just went on ebay for £37!.
The cost is the reason I haven't added a Whirlwind.

I agree that my bases are boring, but when your warrior covers most of the base, I just don't see the point in going for dramatic bases.
Got the BFSP Thunderers converted and finished last week - now all I have to do is photograph them as proof.

Am now working on repainting 5 of the other Blunderbusses so I have a unit of 15 and a unit of 18.
Anything for you Kera - except my heart.  That belongs to my wife, that and other body parts.

We'll start this out with some BFSP Thunderers made into Blunderbusses

The Jericho Regt

The converted Thunderer

And kicking it old school

My Immortals  (BFSP Warriors and some old plastics)

Their standard

and their Champion (yes, I need nore work on my GSing)
Holy Frak!!!

As an exercise in math I took the list of models that I had in the first post of this blog and assigning mundane equiment to everyone only (and discounting the 20 or so marauder era CDs (cause I haven't checked to see how many of them I have) and the hobgoblin archers I can field 3,889 pts of Chaos Dwarfs!

I had no idea the army had gotten so large.  My only other army that is this large is my Brettonnian force.

Not bad on  the shields its hard to keep freehand steady.
The detail work on the shield is really nice.
Can see you fixed the problem with that 'out of place' helmet effectively Wink Awesome conversion Takes Hat off
Now how would have thought that? Tongue BR is doing 3th's and Marauders Big Grin

Awesome, awesome work (like always), BR Takes Hat off  - and a unit picture would be more than welcome.
