Well since GW isn't going to make anything for us anytime soon, I decided to make some warriors of my own.
I scratch built this one from magic sculpt (before anyone asks
), I'll make some more bodies and seperate arms for hand weapons, shields, great weapons, blunderbusses,.. so I can have some more variation.
I'll be casting them up in resin so I'll have an army sooner then having to convert all the models
Well let me know what you guys think of him.

I did spent more time on this one than on all the other dwarfs together so I'm glad you all like him
. Once I made a few more and the casts work out fine I might start selling them but that will be a while so bear with me.
I wanted to dryfit the arms yesterday and accidently dropped him which cost him his eyebrow
so I'll have to fix that.
I thought about making seperate heads but it would be too big of a fuss to make it work, I'll first see how this one turns out.
The rest of him is almost finished now, but I'll be off for a couple of days so updates will follow in the weekend or so.
I'll try and do a tutorial on the scales when I pull off the next one as I use a lot of tools and it would be a pain to explain it all in words.
Thanks Hashut's Blessing, but I think I'll wait with that pro stuff till after my studies, then who knows.. It would be a cool summer job though

Finally update time:
I had more work done on the second warrior and the body is finished except for the left arm:
You can see the axe in progress and his right arm which still needs a bracelet or something like it.
I also went back to the first warrior and decided to redo the arms, I made the socket flat and made a new and improved right arm. I also attached his left arm to his body so ranking up is a breeze now
Now the problem to get them into the world
I'll probably make some kind of pre-order system once I've made four or so. If I get enough pre-orders I'll have them professionally cast in metal since my home-brewery isn't going to be able to handle a lot of orders
, but I'll keep you guys posted on that.

Whoohoow update time
So I finished the second one and am on the way of making the third. I did a new shield design which would be for all the warriors so they all have the same shield. I think this brings some more cohesion as they already look quite individual. The new arm make for a better rank up. Bear in mind these are just put together with a kneadible(?) eraser
. Everything is of course interchangeable! I've contacted a man who can possibly cast them for me but I'll have to see how that works out, more on it soon..

I think they look great, especially now the rank and file thing has been dealt with (i know it was a while ago) your a great sculpter man, if you do get them cast i think i'll have to buy some off you
i definately prefer the pointy shoes of the 2nd one, looks more like 'real' armour. cant wait to see number 3!

I suppose depending on if yo can get them cast and how well they sell you could either sculpt new models for blunderbussers or just make some arms that fit these, its up to you

I am glad this post has been resurrected, because I missed it. I am speechless. And feeling tired after approaching the end of sculpting my first 25 chaos dwarf warriors. I would definitely buy some. If you do decide to make multiple heads and have them attach to body as some one suggested earlier, I think you would have a lot of folks doing BFSP conversions wanting a solid source of heads.
Still, your work is just amazing.
As you are casting these for yourself anyway, would you mind casting some up for me as well ? I really like your sculpts!
