i can get started right away on a short story if you can give me a word count to aim for, or if you dont know a page count and a font size will do :p

I'll do the Advice bit and if no one else takes it, the Horoscopes.
The Advice column should be like a tactics article right?

For the first advice column, I'll just run through simple army composition. Starting at 500pts, then working up in 500pts blocks to 2000pts. Should be handy for all the new arrivals we've had recently.

The Ravening Hordes one. But once the unoffical one is complete, I could always rattle off a few articles about that.

I'll be on holiday in a week or so guys. And soon after, I'll be moving house. So my stuff might be just slightly later in that I would've liked.

It's finished! Expect it to be sent on Sunday.

My article is a little bit too big. I'll send you one half now and then the second half can always go in the following issue.

Only just noticed this thread, oops, is the map just the one thats in the old battle books and things or a fan made one showing where peoples armies are fluff wise, cos mine are kind of stuck in albion out of shame and stuff (nearly finished my fluff!!! but its getting stupidly long)

I could make this magazine, i'm not an exelent writer though, but i'm good with Photoshop (I hope so). I'm tried to think of magazine's theme and i come up with this: The pages could look like a parchment with a black obsidian borders. I've already started on the theme, so in the next few days i'll show it to you.

first time I notice this project and I just want to cheer you on. Keep it up. this sounds like a very nice idea. Saldy both my writing skill and computerskill is very low but at leasts I can cheer you on!

Oh! Oh! Oh! If you need help I could write something for Bloodbowl...I'm not sure what but I could do a playbook, a generic guide or even a play by play for a game...

I started to work on the magazine and i have the front page ready and some articles too. But i'm quite busy at school so it takes me awhile to work on the magazine. If someone wants to have their articles in the magazine pm them to me.
Do you want me to post my ideas about the content of the magazine?
I have some questions about the law too. Could i take a picture from The Warhammer Age of Reckoning and modify it to use it in the magazine, is it legal? We're not selling it so i think i can use it, aren't i?
The second question: how to put the pdf file into the internet so we could download it?
And finally anyone who wants to help with writing the magazine please pm me about it.

Ok, I'll help use if you want to, if not I'll live, how many words shoud I make it?

I have an idea about make this magazine more hobby directed. I mean with a lot of fluff, rules and tutorials. I made some rules for Doombots too. It could be a heavy armored skirmish unit of some sort.

To DARKTROOPER: you can write any articles about chaos dwarf and/or their allies/slaves. Maybe a tactic or a battle report (it would be great if it contained some pictures).

To Grimstonefire: i can also do pdf with the Open Office. Then i'll email you the complite pdf file when it will be ready, to host it.

Since this is in need of a project leader I will step in and assume this role.

However, after reading through 3 pages of this it is apparent  this project need a strong leader. I can provide this. And when I say strong I mean it, don't volunteer unless you can REALLY help out. By that I mean that if you say you are going to have an article by a certain date... then do it. If you have a battle report, send it to me, etc... don't waste my (or others) time with  "Oh I forgot" or "I got too busy". Sorry if this sounds harsh, but in order for this to become a reality focus and a commitment to deadlines will need to be enforced.  

I can lay it out, assemble it and produce a PDF. I can do the work, what I need to start is to review what the content already assembled is.

However, here is what is REALLY needed... a core group of individuals who want to submit articles and or artwork, etc.... I'm not really looking for help on the production of this as splitting up the work will not  make this a reality as evidenced by this 3 page thread...

Again not meant to be harsh, this seems like a worthy production, but it needs some direction and focused direction at that... LASER FOCUS.

I'm posting a thread in the main section to raise awareness on this.

Its great that you are taking this so seriously, IMO too many projects fall by the wayside because they lack proper dictatorship (or with less imperial conotation sole leadership). Im very much looking forward to seeing the finished result, and greatly hope that my submission passes the grade.

I agree there takes a certain amount of drive to make something work. And your assessment is correct: design by committee is a recipe for failure, its our nature living in pluralistic western society to do this. But if you REALLY want to get something done: Discuss like a democrat, and lead like Atilla.

Not to knock anyone, but this thread was like a rudderless ship. A great idea with no direction. I don't have anymore time then the next person, but I look at it this way, if you truly believe in CDO then you will make the effort, you'll make the time.

I've been of "various minds" regarding our fate as a list and ever getting an army book, but I look at it this way. If we are ever going to get one its not going to be because of petitions, or emailing GW; its going to be raising our status on the web to unassailable heights; by making our voices "shout" so loud everyone in the hobby of Warhammer knows of us and our cause. And to me that is what has made me really challenge my thinking concerning Chaos Dwarfs: thou the cause may indeed be hopeless, never give up.

To paraphrase a one of the  greatest quotes ever from a comic book that has caused me to rethink the priorities of Chaos Dwarfs:

"That is what makes (Chaos Dwarf Players) virtually unique in the cosmos of (Warhammer) my friend- the extra ordinary capacity for self sacrifice... this ability to triumph over seemingly insurmountable obstacles if the cause be just, knowing all the while that to do so means certain (doom)death".

Or to put is another way I don't THINK it will ever happen, but my heart tells me different. I WILL NOT GIVE UP! So heed Xander's call, rally forth and make the site even better, never give up until we are holding our own army book in our hands!

With that being said no one can do it alone. In the next couple of days I should have a clear outline of what the first issue will entail. Keep those submissions pilling in. I have a good number and this bodes well for the next issue as well.
