im willing to take a stab at the art.. im not to much of an artist but my roomie is.. and im a photoshop guy (good with stock images to work with) I have made a cover template that matches seamlessly with the rest of the range.

Ok i have a Preliminary Cover for the Play Test i took the inspiration from the Chapter Approved books. i think it would be great for a playtest.. BTW i have started on a template in Pagemaker already which i was using to make some of the WD lists look better... I would love to Compile the book if i could..

it was a new book, but all intrest seemed to flee from it

Gil' suggestion is actually the correct one IMHO. Grimstone did some phenominal work on his version and there is nothing wrong with that.
That being said it diverges away from what chaos dwarfs are right now... At least in our semi legal list form...
Clarfication of the rules fixing the stuff that is broken and bringing it to 7th is a worthy goal.

I see the project is still up??? or is it?? Any who if some people may or may not remember I was pretty active with it for a while.. but found that people were too worried about adding stuff before updating the list as willmark stated.. if ubertechie is still on the job cool beans. I would love to help out with compiling the book and getting it ready for circulation.
If not, I would love to take a crack at it. While this may not be directly related to my job. I will have alot of free time to coordinate the effort and get some playtesting in. I have quite a bit of experience with rules writing. as I was a writer and tester for mongoose publishing for ACTA, Battlefield Evo, and Victory at Sea. I have also written and tested an araby list for warhammer which GW later used loosely to write the Warmaster Araby (too bad they lost the snake pots on the Carpets LOL).
Like I said I will have some time on my hand and would love to help out again.
I would try again. I put in as much work as I could before, but it's pretty damn hard to keep a bunch of people, each with there own ideas on everything, on one thing at once
take the slaves issue we had before...three ideas where presented, and each one had about an equal ammount of support, and 2 people wheren't wlling to change there ideas at all, or even listen to other points

A strong dedicated leader that will be ready for a consistant work effort for nearly a year or more.
I'd take this on but most of my time is focused on the WoH. I am willing to act as the project sponsor on this I.d to help facilitate this.
In previously threads about this there are people adding "I'll write fluff, I'll diary, etc..." this is ENTIRELY the wrong approach. Get the rules done a small dedicated focused team write the rules clarify them, playtest, etc. Later worry about the layout, art fluff etc...

Well... That is pretty much the way I have always felt about it.. So Yes I guess I am volunteering to head it up.. Personally I believe that a group of 5 people would be a good start I have some Ideas on who would be good but all the same. I will put up a request for applications.
