i'm willing to playtest
Is there any blank space for a young hobbiest like me? I'd like to work with you...
I would be happy to take the lead on this ( i have plenty of time on my hands) and have loved Chaos dwarfs since their initial release.

I think that the doing it in parts idea is great and is also the most realistic for getting anything official.

Part 1 tidying up of RH list (rules clarifications and points alterations hobogoblins up a  point, bull centaurs up to 24 , bolt throwers up to 35 each, hob gob fast cav min unit size to  5 - these bring things inline with other armies)

Part 2 a guide on how to make all of the troops in part 1 - Ideally from current GW miniatures - this could b the way to get around - No Models no Rules concept - see skaven mutated monsters or zombie pirates as examples. This would also include the best painted examples of these conversions, big hats and marauders

This means that parts 1 and 2 could be handed as a fait acomplit to GW for then to add fluff (or we can) to then use white dwarf / their site (although i realize they probably wont use it  - its a great guide for new and old players alike and when printed out and handed to your opponent {i do this with the current list as people arent always familiar with our list} is a great intro to CD

Part 3 - new units / rules for old units  - think this should be done unit by unit - old stuff first (tenderizer / whirlwind, Bazooka, mortar) - ideally with conversions - note hellcannon could go in here. Then the new units to create an experimental list.

I can dedicate time, project management skills and a server to this plus i can perform plenty of playtesting as i have a cool gaming group that are always up for new things (we have a player that frequently uses a doomwheel in his skaven army).

I realise i am relatively new to the forums but have been paying since 2nd Edition so i am not the whipper snapper some of you may take me for

Cheers

Okay well i can run the project plan (its what i do as a living :-) ), chase people, collate, hassle, cajoule, bribe, intimidate as necessary this can be done using a online project management tool i use so everyone can see the status of everything at any time, then i think we need a few dedicated people for each element. I can work with you on a plan - whereby we hit the major questions first then spiral out from them. I strongly believe that for it to be worthwhile though it needs to be primarily a modernization and clarification rather than a re-write  so for example blunderbusses do not need a re-write just some clarifications (good diagrams) and as you say a tweak for multi-wound creatures (d3, or 1 wound per blunderbuss rank or whatever works best).

Let me know

Well, If you're doing something like a new 'list' for CDs I also would like to interfere. I am young (ehm.. right) but i have got a lot experience.

Maybe I also can write some rules for the new AL (=army list). But I think the leaders of this project should be  an old,   wise and an awe-inspiring geriatric (like Willmark, Grim, minty or ubertechie).

I like the idea to separate the AB. Well, maybe this will be the big time for this forum... maybe...
Also i think it is important that for the RH to 7th ED we write no new rules and only clarify what exists -we also need to log what we have changed (if anything) and our reasons for doing so. Further doing the 1st step well is a good way to gain credibility for anything in steps 2 and 3
Anyway of to sleep some more (recovering form a stag weekend .... )

Hi, I've been playing warhammer for a while and am greatly inspired by the games' theme. I'd love to help work on the art project. I'm having trouble entering the pictures. It seems I have to create a link to post them, why can't copy and paste them into my reply? Please help, I'd like you guys to see my work if this project is still running.
I'd like to help, I have a little experience ruleswriting and quite a decent amount of experience doing various other stuff (coordinating, any IT if that's needed, I am pretty good at writing fluff if other people provide the info).
