Well I was bored this morning and took a look at the Goblin Archers I still had left over from my BfSP and thought, 'What can I do with them?'

Then it came to me. Sneaky Gitz!

With just a little bit of clipping and greenstuff I made these 10 SGs. Althought they have been nerfed by 7th Edition, they may make interesting additions to my force (have on free Special slot) and with all those poisoned attacks, who's going to argue?

Anyway here are my little green ninjas, they will be painted black except for the green poison on there blades, the blades themselves and the death masks. Any suggestions for the colour for them?

Cheers!

Damn nice idea! Are those daggers part of Forest Spider legs?

Happy Thanks!

Sorry I forgot to mention the daggers! They are made from pickaxes from the dwarf miners, I bought a 10 man box last week and had a few lying around.

Cheers!

Ok, got some by myself too Happy. Gotta make some.
Holy crap: Brilliant!

Idea stolen.

I was wondering what I was going to do with my Archers.  This is a perfect fit, pose-wise.  Well done, sir!
Why couldn't you have posted this three days ago when I still had my BFSP archers? Unsure

Nemo

Sorry, I have thought about how to do them but I only had enough miner picks 2 day ago.

Thanks for all the comments!

Any idea on the mask colour?

Cheers!

Nemo

EDIT: Oh and Xander, you're welcome to them.

Same as the rest of the clothing, I'd say.

Thanks for all the positive replies guys!

I've added them to the wiki but I think the pictures may be too big, can anyone change that for me, I'm a wiki virgin :p

Cheers!

Bravo again on a bit of ingenuity!  I will be combining my Hobbo style with this for Sneaky Gits of my own. Happy
Someone, on HoH, a VERY long time ago, had used the bows and goblins, but filed the lower OR upper half and clipped off the other to make curved daggers.

Another thing that would work pretty well is to take some of the spear guys, cut off the arms (shield included), and glue on some of the Plague Monk knives. Then just paint the small bit of fur green and no one will notice. Plus, then the knives are nice and large. Of course, some of those archer ones would be good too... I only have 10 arms worth of knives... I only have those by chance anyway... But I think that would look very nice. Once I get that BFSP box set, I'll make myself a 30 man unit of them for my 1000 point army.

Maybe I can proxy the spider riders as wolf riders... I mean... if they're furry enough...
Although the conversions are very good, I'd like to see what you did with the quivers...

IMO, Hobbo archers are also a better choice than gits, but that's just me...

Thanks

Hi all

Thanks for all the compliments!

As regards to the back and the quivers they were pretty simple to remove from the model with GW clippers, apart from a few were the arm has to be removed and reattached. Any unseemly mess was covered by GS.

About pictures, my camera ran out of battery and is full of pictures from my recent holiday. I painted them before I left so pictures soon.

Oh and now i officially love sneaky gitz. A few weeks ago they charged and killed a unit of 3 Pegasus Knights with FC, easily earning back their points!

Cheers!

Interesting. Although I honestly don't see the point in buying expensive multipart figures just to convert BFSP ones...

wasnt suggesting buying the old night goblins to get knifes at $45 canadian for 4 thats a little extreme but if u have freinds with our happen to have some lying around the always struck me as "a sneaky git knife" or at least that what i think everytim i come across one of thosse spruesBig Grin

I believe it was "Very nice. Easy, but still has class.", however, I may be mistaken. I think they look really good. Possibly a dot of greenstuff is necessary on top of their hands to make dagger handles/pommels. Ingenious way of making them. Besides, I never know why people hate SG so much. 5 points for two poisoned attacks? That's not bad IMO. An ordinary marauder is 5 points! Of course, their only worth it if you have the spare special slot. Which I do Big Grin So, although I might have nicked the idea originally, I used mine as archers because I wanted some archers Big Grin It won't be forgotten though. I can assure you of that (meaning I may get more for this conversion). I like the cut of their hoods so it's not saying they have elven helmets beneath them. Masks are good, whilst remaining simple. Always a bonus. I'd say, black robes, green posion, DARK red (scab red, maybe?) for the masks and a sickly green for the skin. If you wish to avoid two greens, use graveyard earth or kommando khaki for the skin or ignore the posion on the daggers and say it's clear (maybe use 'ardcoat varnish for that...).
