Okay, we're having a very specific tournament in a month, it's a 5000 points one! It's more a fun tournament, so no cheese, and huge composition restrictions (we're the PG capital, remember).
Here are the rules!
-3 lords, with max 1 magelord (ML3>=, vampire count with 1/2lvl doesn't count), and max one large target
-5 hero slots, with maximum 3 mages
-maximum of 4 same core units (ranked, nonshooting infantry does not count)
-up to 7 special slots, with a maximum of 3 repeated!
-up to 5 rare units, with a maximum of 2 repeated

So, my list looks like:
Chaos Dwarf Lord on Great Taurus
Black Hammer of Hashut, Armour of Furnace, shield - the standard woodcutter combination!

Chaos Dwarf Sorcerer Lord
ML4, dispel scroll, power stone and black gem of gnar

Bull Centaur Lord
Black Mace of Deathgreat weapon, heavy armor, shield - he's a sucidal killer!


Chaos Dwarf Hero
great weapon, heavy armor, enchanted shield and gauntlets of bazhrakk - general and S7 destroyer!

with 2xscroll each

25 black orcs with shields and FCG

6 bull centaurs with standard bearer, musician and warbanner

2x4 ironguts with standards


I am unfortunately restricted by models, and still have to borrow the warriors

In battles that big you need BIG units.  A round of concentrated fire will easily take out a couple of regualr sized units.  Try 30+.  It's hard to see where all the points have gone, probably the ironguts I guess.
