Interestingly enough, they still list the Chaos Dwarf FAQ on the UK site, though the location of the PDF is not under Hordes of Chaos like it is on the US site, but rather I assume, somewhere else. Though I could not locate it.

That may prove a point. In the hands of a capable player, Chaos Dwarfs can utterly annihilate an opponent without remorse whatsoever. The current PDF we have is very strong overall and decent in its power.

So they may have decided to take it out due to the points listed.

The 7th edition book lists the Chaos Dwarfs several times over, so I take that as a good sign. The GW shop around here also welcomes them to be played....so....I can only take that as good.

they do kick arse indeed i hammerd basicaly everyone i played tbh my most sucsessful army,

but we do need a few more choices n things , im anoyed there cut out of the GT this year but then ive never been the  sort of guy to play in one

Well I guess lucky for me here in the US they allow here where I live to use any army we choose I'm doing a preheresy army in 40k and I'm getting ready to do chaos dwarfs in fantasy but if the book is being taken out that is going to piss me off. -.-; But still if I can atlest get my hands on a copy of the codex I will beable to use the army reguardless. O.o

Wow, I'm really surprised Jervis wrote back and in gave a good deal of clarity on the matter (i.e. - didn't give a form letter).   I'm betting the inclusion of CDs in the US vs. non-inclusion in the UK is do to the player base: the UKs got a much larger fantasy fan-base than the US.  Chaos Dwarves can get pretty beady (cheap, high-leadership characters, devastating warmachines, etc) and would benefit from a significant rewrite.  Besides, I'd kill for an actual armybook with new fluff, special characters, etc.

I understand Jervis' point about new models and I understand they're reluctant to pick up an army that tanked last time they released it.  Is there anyway we could show GW how much money we currently spend or would be willing to spend on the new CD figures?  Save receipts or barcodes, etc.?

Good Lord Metro you really dont want us to have a new list do you? Because that there is just plain silly...  We are not asking for new minis nor do we ask for a new list. We just, when all is said and done, ask for clarification on certain things that are no longer relevant or not clarified in the current rules. Fact is that they provided some get you by rules for 6th edition for the CD that are now obsolete, and so in my book they are, as the people who first provided the army list and allowed us to use it in the 6th edition, obliged to support this to a certain extent even if this means that they will have to update some rules. If GW wont permanently stop producing both fluff and rules for the Dawi'Zharr we deserve an update since they then in the first place never should have made the list if they never intended on updating it.  A get you by list as this list makes people expect that there will at some point be at least a minor update. For crying out loud Metro you cannot possibly think that it is wrong that people want to know what they can or cannot do in 7th edition Warhammer? It really seems sometimes like the only thing that keeps you going is the fact that you can keep complaining about the fact that GW do not give us that update. And to be frank that attitude will never get us anywhere. Ive known you through both this site and HoH for quite some time, even before my brake from the game (at least on HoH and that was over a year ago) and Ive always held you in high regards since you have a lot of background knowledge about this game that I very much envy you amd you are clearly, through your posts on the tactics forum, an accomplished general who always gives sound advice to new players, but I am sick of you almost denying the fact that we may ever get an update, I dare say an Armybook, all the time. Again I do not mean any harm by what I post here, I am merely stating my honest feelings about this subject and you are absolutely free to say whatever you want back since I know that I myself am by no means perfect. But please do stop those negative thoughts all the time about us getting an armybook. It doesnt do any good and, if you really do think so then ask yourself is it really worth playing this army?

So you are actually saying that you are the only one on this site who REALLY wants a list that the rest of us are just moaning and groaning about past days? If you ever noticed I have always accepted the fact that big hats will never ever return. I have always advocated that we need a new list completely redone in structure and feel. The thing that Ive always said would be hard for GW to change is the fluff that exists for the Dawi'zharr since that has at least in some ways been confirmed through maps and bits and pieces of information through the books. So to say that you are the only one on this site who wants a book is ,if I may put it bluntly, complete rubbish. We all want that book, but we all have certain ideas on how this book should be. You for example want "Dwarfs of Chaos" but what does that mean? Does this mean 3rd edition style CD? If so then that is how you want them to be but that is hardly the way everyone sees this and to be frank a return to the 3rd edition days is as unlikely as it is to see Big Hats again. I must say that I got a tad annoyed when I read this post where you for some reason almost sound like a lone crusader fighting for this book, which isnt true. This site proves that there are hundreds if not thousands out there that want this book as badly as you. So do not tell me that you are the only one who wants them to redo this list.

*laughs* Yeah Ive heard that about a zillion times too I do find it quite small however. I remeber at a tourney I went to a couple of years ago where someone had built a Baneblade that was the size of the Baneblade in Final LIberation, if anyone remembers that old pearl?

As good an idea as it is it is not so easy as to "just" make your own GT.
