The Gary Morely Chaos Possessed, thank god they're being replaced...
well, yeh, when nagash was made the best models out there where chaos dwarves (which though cool, are, wait there greatly sculpted, what gives since thre better than some models now and far supperior to all at the time, damn time traveling sculptors)

zoats where only slightly teribble, and make good bull centaur bases

i thinkt he worst has to be the plastic sprue to convert chaos marines into possesed marines, that is jut awful, way too stupid.

I like that sprue actually, some of the arms look quite good, although they are better suited to Warhammer Fantasy rather than 40k...

This one's rather cr*ppy, it's a Harlequin miniature called the 'Cloaker' Rolleyes
The terrible (sculpted at least) Cloaker!!!!

My vote goes to the Chaos Ogres....

I actually like those ogres better then the current beergut man boob train wreck of figures that are currently out now.

Moobies or no, the newer ogres have one main advantage over the any of the old ones.
They're plastic.
Seriously, to me, this makes all the difference, but then, I like converting stuff Happy...

Is that a joke? It cant be serious

Joke? You can still buy it online:
Click here to see the cloaker and his other fantasticly sculpted friends :p
No joke here sadly enough, so I don't think we should complain about the quality of GW sculpts, we should complain about the prices Happy

i actually fairly like the new ogres as a whole, i don't like the butchers or others with all tha mutilation, it jus look too unrealistic, my personal hate are all the old solid plastic goblins they used to put in painting boxes, i cant find any pictures

Would be OK if it wasn't for the STUPID statue

Id say Chaos Ogres are really bad. But in general I have to say that all things Gary Morley are really horrible. Im surprised that the ogres arent another Morley Moment.

I presume you'll be happy now that he's fired then? Wink
Now if only they could do something about John Blanche, look up "overated" in the dictionary, you'll see a picture of him right there... Unsure

I don't mind the cauldron of blood so much, but they could definetly have done something better with the statue, I do like the sorceress model that you get though, especially since i'm so used to seeing the other one, with the big hat and long face... Rolleyes

The most recent for me has got to be the new Treemen! even the old static ones look better Happy
I like Nagash model apart from the head, a mate of mine made a new head using the defiler skull mask as a base that looked really good
I also want to throw the BFSP Dwarfs into the ring!
I hate those skirts!!! they come out way to far from the legs, it's ridiculious. The thane seems to have the shield in place of an arm, goes way to far back into the body, and the slayer is just beyond me!
Xander has done amazing work with them, and deserves alot of credit for bringing alot of new Chaos Dwarf generals to Hashut Takes Hat offCheers!, but I just can't bring myself to use the dwarfs for anything.
Goblins are cool as hell though!!!

TBH Ghrask,

Forgive me please but I am not up to date with all the forum lingo, I have worked out IMO - In My Opinion and IMHO with a Humble thrown in there but thats about it. So, what does TBH mean?

Quote:
TBH Ghrask, the goblins are just bog standard Night goblins.
Although... that is probably why they're so cool

I think your right, that is why they are cool. When you have units numbering over 30 (my night goblin army) it's good to have the simplest models you can, it can get a bit dull painting the same pose over and over but I think the finished product is certainly worth it, in my case anyway.

TBH: To be honest
Thank You, I also know Btw - By the way Cheers! aren't I clever!
I am also starting some scratch-built models at the moment so expect a few more additions to this list shortly Happy
One of them is a Gotrek mini from an old Mark Gibbons sketch I saw in a White Dwarf mag' if anyones interested.

Quote:
what about the comedy goblin spearmen you got from the old (old) WHFB boxed set that had gobbos & High elves.  Them buggers drew blood if you weren't carefull where you put your elbow whilst enjoying a bacon butty over a quick battle!

HappyHappy I have about 60 of those, it's like acupuncture!

One guy in mine and Ghrask's local GW actually has an army made up of just the BFSP Dwarfs and it looks ugly as sin. I know that my army ain't much better but there you go.

Happy Yes he gets quite a bit of stick for that!

Nagash indeed look bad.
But I dont see anything worst than this.

This is grotesque even for ogres. Anyone else feel that the warhammer universe has slowly became to serious for this?

I like this sculpt, it's not the best idea they have ever had and gnoblars carrying is a bit far fetched but I can get over that, I think it's a good sculpt and GW needs a bit more humour now days IMHO.

PS. it IS grotesque.

it looks more like a chaos tree to me.

I'm not a big fan either. I think it fits in well with some of the other Chaos stuff like the screamers, flamers and spawns but it just doesn't have enough shape to it for me. It bearly resembles a dragon and proportions are way off, though I think thats the point with chaos, it's just not for me.
Btw- what do you guys think of the new spawn boxed set? I just bought one cheap from eBay can't wait until it gets here! There is going to be so much left over to use for other conversions I might get one of the Terminator Lords.

Quote:
I saw the bull head from the Spawn Box and I knew it had to be used in my army somewhere. It's now the head of a Wolfboy'z Wolf.

Cool! can't wait to see that!

Quote:
Azhag's wyvern looked like a Dragon. Poor implementation of a model.

agreed, have you seen the new Azhag model?

Quote:
Grom is a terrible model - however I think it is just the paintjob. Same with that Undead model in a 'bat mobile' chariot.

Somewhere down the line I plan to do justice to the story behind that character, which in my opinion the current model does not! What about 'Elf-Biter', for such a powerful weapon it looks like nothing! (I have way too many ideas though, most of which will never be done)

Oh yes and in regards to Gulrach...

Thats how you do it!! more pictures at...

I would also like to mention the good attitude of the members of this site, the good community here is one of the things that makes this my favourite on the web!

I'm still amazed that everybody keeps hammering on the GW minis (though hammering is a thing we dwarfs do I suppose).
There are a bunch of bad miniatures on the market if you search hard enough though Happy
Here are some minimistakes fenryll made:
Elves that look like blow-up dolls
Treeman that thinks he can fly
They do have quite a lot of cool models too though!
Some of the celtos minis also have some terrible anatomical problems.
I happen to own this one (not my paintjob, just found it on google to illustrate the horrendous anatomy)
And some of the other miniatures in the boxed set are even worse :p

GW have been around for so long and produced so many miniatures a thread like this is bound to generate alot of replies, it is worth saying that GW have done alot of amazing miniatures down the years and deserves to be the number 1 in the market (even though they use their power for evil). I would happily post on a thread called 'best sculpt ever!
But this is not best sculpt ever so...

What the hell are those steeds about!?!
