I can't help but smile at that either Cheers!

Look, the only reason to own a Mac is stability, and that's just because it's clocked to run more slowly since it doesn't need all that processor power for things like games. Oh, yeah, games- you need to find a Mac store, they run horribly, but at least you already know which are good and which are bad, because they came out for PC six or seven years ago.

And when you need to upgrade, it's not complicated. Instead of replacing a part and reconnecting cables and all that, you just throw it out and buy a new one. Yeah. Great.

All the graphics programs for art and digital design can run on Windows.

And, even if it were the best thing since sliced bread, I'd refuse to buy one for the simple reason that I flat-out refuse to buy a product from a company that feels that the only way to sell its product is to bash the competitions'.
id wait until they put OSX on an ipod and get that

Well then you must not buy much of anything then.  Happy

You do know that not everyone cares to play games right? I Don't have any desire what so ever to play them. I realize this is a gaming forum, so most people here will prefer their PCs, which is fine. I personally don't use my computer for games, so it's a non issue to not be able to run them.

No.

I'm in the film field and this just isn't correct, I regularly use many programs that you don't find on windows.

Final Cut Pro, Motion, Color, Logic Pro, Live Type, Shake, Soundtrack and Compressor.

I just couldn't use a Windows machine, for others it's fine... For my uses however, the Mac is better. Plus I just flat out like it better, it makes more sense to my creative brain.

Unsure

I don't think you need a PC to play Warhammer...

The majority of people I know play both, in my travels I've ran into hardly anyone that plays Warhammer but not PC games. I'm stereotyping, so sue me or something. Wink

Only if you count mah jong and solitaire!  purely a console gamer.

Gah, Solitare is for wimps, real men play online chess! Tongue

It's pretty stupid, then, that they always try to make the Mac seem like a fun guy, and the PC is a stodgy, boring business type, when the Mac can't even participate in one of the most basic forms of electronic recreation.

Go take a look around. There's forced-compatibility software everywhere.

ps vodevil what do you exactly are you an editor?

I'm a student Writer/Director (I know, it sounds so pretentious Tongue). So I'm exploring the realm of filmmaking, doing little bits of work on commercials here and there, student films that kind of jazz. So, I'm becoming familiar with all of the tools available to me as a director, so I can make better movies and make working with people in every department easier.

It's cool to see other people involved in the creative process around here, it's a lot of work... The Payoff is amazing though.

anyway heres some pics of projects i am working on

Looks like it's coming along well dude, I'm interested in seeing the characters.

I have to confess to being a Big Hat man myself, I kinda wish I wasn't though... Because this seems like it would be easier to pull off.

Where do people get these Chaos Warrior heads? I mean, they're like $9 for 8 heads of BWBits.
Wish I knew that earlier... my friend plays a Warrior-heavy Chaos army!
Nice start iamahobgoblin.
The blundersbusses look like they were inspired by Snotling's ones.

The Slaver

What happened to Damnatus? Even though it looked a tad campy, is was kinda looking forward to eventually watching it on youtube! hehehehe i luv that damn site!

vodevil im a compositor mainly into film but music vids too. we should make a short film for games workshop think how awesome it would be

Compositing is really cool stuff, even just small touches can really enhances things. So yeah a GW related short could be highly entertaining, it's really to bad they are so down on fan projects.

Still might be able to make a documentary though...

They couldn't get permission to distribute it - even for free. Games Workshop legal closed it down, despite assuring them in the past that there would be no problems as long as they weren't profiting from it.

That was a sucky situation and I felt bad for the Damnatus crew, however they really needed to get it in writing. Making the film without that was a big risk and maybe not the smartest thing to do, still sucks though.

George Lucus recognises that fan-made work is free advertising, so he allows it.  If they got some half decent actors then Star Wars Revelations would have been pretty good.
