WOOT!

Found my Chaos Dwarf Tenderizer. Its in rough shape needs to be stripped of paint but is complete!

To Do:
1) Order a Chaos Bull Centaur body from GW.Craft new upper torso.
2) Order new Wheels. I think the wheels from the chaos warrior chariot might do.
3) Reassemble and paint.

One less thing to get off of eBay.
Sweet now if I cant get a whirlwind I'll be all set.

UPDATE: Just got a Hell cannon on lunch! Double Woot!

i like the guy in the background with the horn/spiky bits off the marauder standard top looks really sorcerer like

Toying around with him, not to sure what I'll do with him.

UPDATE: I now have 1/2 of my fist unit of CDs converted. It took about one week of solid converting, including the unit champion, musician and standard bearer. while waiting for dwarfs to dry I also started the movement tray for the unit as it needs to accommodate 6 wide by five ranks deep. I'm also going to be magnetizing the models and the movement tray as well.

Now just waiting on some eBay stuff and a buddy of mine who is sending me his BfSP dwarfs.

I now also have my Hell Cannon prepped and ready for under coating.
I keep finding things here and there. Just found a sorceror on a lammasu in a shop, still in its shrink wrap for $33.00. Major Woot!
Bumpy.

I will hopefully have some new pics on Thursday. But just finished my first models for my CD army... the hell cannon crew.

Also finished my first chaos dwarf sorcerer based on the engineer model from the [BfSP] set. Still waiting on bits to come in so my first chaos dwarf warrior unit is still at 12.
Updates with Pics!
Bear in mind the crew for the Hellcannon are the most complete, but even they are not done. Photos will get better with time as I had to set up an unusual way to get then off my older digital camera that is zoom/macro capable.

How does your Sorcerer see? Shock

Awesome work so far my friend!  Keep it up. Happy

Don't you see the little slit beneath the brim of the helm... You will when he's painted. Happy

This is stuff you should truly be proud of man.

Awesome work all around. I cannot wait to see it all when it is completed. Happy

Updates of the Hellcannon in progress... (still waiting on parts for my 1st warrior unit grrrrr). Dwarf wall from Battle for Skull Pass is going to get cut up and demolished somewhat methinks... Maybe something to what the orcs did to the King's head in LoTR- Return of the King

Ah, the hellcannon.  It has taken me so long to file off the mould lines and greenstuff all the gaps that I still haven't finished putting mine together yet.  What colours did you use for the faces on the barrel?

I used a burnt umber (light brown), then dry-brushed with white. Then added a yellow wash. I don't use GW paints.

Ghrask Dragh Wrote:
I really like that dull, worn gold you have on the crew masks and cannon! what is your technique?
Great Standard top too is there going to be a banner aswell?

1. Start with a bronze color, lightly dry-brush gold, then thin black wash.
2. Standard? For the warriors? Assuming that yes there with be a banner , two in fact, I have already sketched them out as to what they will be.

Looking good my friend, I love the sorcerer, consider that idea stolen!

Have at it!

Bit of a rush on the last three photos, but the first give a good impression where this stands now. Almost done with it, the base is the last major thing to do.

Yeah how did you???? Wink JK. I was beginning to think people didn't like my work!

In all seriousness the barrel was pretty easy:
1. Undercoat white matte spray paint.
2. Dry brush light brown
3. Dry brush white
4. Yellow wash the barrel
5. Retouch any spots that get messed up from the silver parts of the barrel.

(NOTE: I don't use GW paints so YMMV)
That's it.
Some updates to the ongoing project.

As you can now see the Hellcannon is 99% done. I only have to touch up a few things here and there as well as add a few bits of static grass; plus finish off the human head on the side.

Still waiting on parts from the damn hobby shop down the way. Next time order direct from GW is what I will be doing. But thus far here is my first unit of CD infantry.

Lastly my start to my Lammasu, not much but gives an early indication of the direction he will be going. Plus I'm filing down the beard, no curly beards need apply in this army!

UPDATE: Tonight I should have pics that I was "teasing" about... parts finally came in for my general! Got a bit done on him last night and there is still more to go, but the basic shape is mostly done.

Also I have some other "secret parts" that are going along with him that will be displayed at a later point, gotta build the excitement on the blog and all.

That lurking dreadnaught anything to do with the general? The hellcanon base is really coming together now,wot no lava

LOL. No lava, love the effect and it has been modeled very well by several people. Want to do my own bit. My army is raiding the ruined holds in the World's Edge Mts (western side nearer the border princes),  so no lava for me.

Nope on the dread.... good guess, but that is the last thing to paint for my Space Marines. As far as to WHAT it will be for my general.... I'll have to keep you all guessing!

Well got something completed, check here:

And Oh yeah... working on the general right now. Wink
Update:

General mostly done still working on smoothing out his beard with more definition... so you get the idea... here he is!

Looking good so far. Since you posted them, I'll give a little criticism (hopefully constructive). You're probably planning this already (seeing as they're only a third done), but make sure the waists are somewhat thicker. It might look a little unnatural for a dwarf and a bull to end up with a British size 0 waist is all. Unnatural considering the fact that we're pretending a dwarven bull is natural Big Grin

HB you must have missed this part of the post. Wink

Willmark Wrote:
Their waists are not even close to being done (only the afore mentioned one in front is). I had to add a lot of gs to give them some structural strength as it were. So what you see in those pics will be covered up. It also gives you an idea of the height of said BCs.

All- Thanks Guys (included you too there Kera Wink )It will be a couple of days since the Lammasu seems to be the next candidate for being completed.  You'll all just have to wait until then!

UPDATE!

Below are pics of my Lammasu!

.....................................

Hahahah Shock Got you looking! In all seriousness I got a TON of painting done with the model last night (about 4 solid hours worth).

I have to work the part time job tonight, If I get home in enough time tonight i might be able to get some pics up (unlikely- the weather is really crappy here right now). More likely is Saturday night (late).

* Base is nearly done.
* Chaos Sorcerer Lord is nearly done (about 80% complete now)
* Lammasu is about 80% done as well.

Willmark's Army Builder Tip #2
Even if the model you are working on isn't coming out the way you imagined in terms of painting it, don't give up! I ran into that early with painting the Lammasu and I kept on working on it. As I added successive layers to the model is started to look better and better. Now its at a point where I'm rather pleased with it.
