It is indeed. Got an iTunes library loaded up on my Print server nearby, or grab the iPhone. Painting desk, etc... Just got to get a more comfortable chair to be honest. There is a dog bed near by for my dog to chew on bones too, that is when I'm not letting him out the door to the backyard 9 million times a night...

Continuing on the theme of adding more Core to the Army here is the next unit that is complete: the first hobgoblin wolf rider unit (yes I did say first

Overall I'm fairly pleased with how they came out. It took a bit to do in terms of green stuff but a fun unit.

After these guys the next unit most likely to be completed will be the chaos dwarf warriors with axes. Makes sense they will be accompanying the count as army standard. They are nearly complete as of now, with bases to finish and the leader, standard bearer and musician to complete as well.

Up next will most likely be the 9 orcs that I'm adding to my Big Uns unit as tehy should be easy to turn them out quickly.

Finally with all this I am still attempting to cast some parts for some other units (mainly the hobbos).

Plus I should finally be able to start on my GHVI entry.

Army stands @ 2,507 painted as of right now. With the addition of the the 2nd CD warrior unit the count will be just a shade under 3,000. Looking ahead I still have the following to add:

14 Orc Arrer Boyz
9 more Orcs (I need a tenth if anyone has an extra one!)
Death Rocket
2nd Wolf Rider Unit (10- need the left half of a wolf thou...)
20 Black Orcs
1 reconverted CD sorcerer (might need to reposition his axe)
1 metal sorcerer to convert (the old runesmith from the  4th edition Anvil of Doom)
40 hob go infantry unit
2 10 hob gob infantry units (the speed bumps)
A unit of 15 chaos dwarf blundies
10 hobbo archers
Taurus and CD Lord Rider

So still plenty of life left on this blog! Plus I can shoot for giving Wallacer some company in the Gold Army Medal department.

Heh, Chaos Dwarf warriors equal Core so more on the way!

Might have the next unit done tonight more likely is tomorrow night. Plus, now I can start on my GHVI entry!

UPDATE

First off here is the completed unit of 25 chaos dwarf warriors with great axes  (converted miners), accompanying the count as army standard into battle. Thanks to  Hammerhand who I stole the idea for the icon on the banner.









Next is the next "unit" up. "Unit" is a loose terms as they guys are reinforcements
for the unit of 20 Big-Uns now up to 29. I'll have to create (or buy) another or out of spare parts as I did previously. Looks like I'll be using chaos warrior legs again as well as an old metal orc as the basis..









Last is some full army shots that people have been asking for. And no, the cows and pigs in the upper left hand side of pic one are not part of the army Rather they are some plastic toys I painted a while back to add to the  barnyard of my warhammer terrain.





The army now stands just a bit under 3,000 points.

Work has begun on the orcs and the Death Rocket of all things! Added a bit to it last night and started on the crew. I have a bit of green stuffing to do with the crew and a second sorceror I just did.

Plus I have the start of a super, über project I'm working on; I sketched it out last night..

Because the secret project I'm starting will be über cool! plus before I became a mod , my custom title for acheiving 1,000 posts was "the uber daemon of uncool"...

MINOR UPDATE

Busily working away on a bunch of stuff but here are the latest that I have finished. 9 orcs to add to the previous 20. Only need one more to finish off the unit...



Also under construction is a unit of 14 orc arrer boyz


Still considering a bunch of stuff as mentioned previously but need a break for a bit I think. I've added a lot to the army since September. Looks like I get the first chance to try them out this weekend, without and hobbo speed bump units however...

Thanks. Since that photo was taken I've shuffled them around a bit more to make them rank up even better.

One down side of those archers is the fact they are one piece and fairly dense at that. Of course I could hack them and then greenstuff them, but its not in the plans for them especially since they are now primed.

Still working away but had a bad setback... never spray your clear coat spray on your models when it is humid out. I did last week and I  am now touching everything up right now to deal with the after effects of it looking like dust on about 1/3 of the units...

UPDATE

Now that the damage has been fixed by the errant spraying episode its back to working on units.

Next up is most likely the Black Orcs or the Orc archers, but also I have been slowly assembling this guy. Still in its basic form and i have not yet made it "chaos dwarfy" but figure it shows some good progress as to how it will turn out.

I think I'm going to add a few more rockets emerging from the barrels. The plan is to take cotton soak it in black ink, the let it dry and then highlight for smoke trailing from the rockets, thus covering the wires.

Yeah I haven't been on my usual pace, being a mod means work!

I have most of the damage corrected from the spray incident now.

Right now I'm working on the 20 Black Orcs as I plan for the death rocket. The Death Rocket is happening more or less as I go as unlike most of the units I have done so far I do not have a plan for it.

Its two dwarf organ guns combined. i am planning on a dding a few more rockets to it.

Scoring that 25th anniversary dwarf set at Gamesday is already paying off. I'm also planning on using the shields from the iron breakers for my 2nd hobgoblin wolfrider unit!

Been a bit, but I finally have some stuff to show off. I have been pretty busy laying the groundwork for 2nd issue of the Word of Hashut and haven't had as much time for painting.

However here are were several projects stand:

My Black Orcs are perhaps 1/3 of the way there. I have the armor mostly don but still have a long way to go wit the skin. Obviously no major details have been done on any of them either.








Next up is some of my old school stuff that I have repainted. None of its is complete yet, but thought these would be a fun diversion from painting units that I can actually use in the current army list.  

I actually have one more bazuka crew that I will most likely trade for some hobbos.







Next up is the mortar. I went with a very plain scenic base on purpose as for years it was on a simple piece of card stock painted green...  So I decided to echo the plainness on my repaint.



Rounding out the old school models is the petard! Which thanks to Clam I recently acquired:



Lastly after much debate I have decided to go with metal hobgoblins for my infantry and archers. with my latest eBay purchase my archers are now complete (once they arrive and i already have 1 unit of ten painted). This unit of infantry is going to be 20 hobbos. I plan on having 2 units of 10 each as well. With 1 slave unit of various races, perhaps two... as count as of course.  This unit will also server as a bodyguard for my second sorcerer on foot.

Due to winning another eBay auction I now have 7 more coming to nearly complete the unit.

Yeah as noted on the podcast the lammasu is definately my favorite model. I should really come up with a good idea for the banners.

As for the general. Right now I use him as count as, essentially on foot. I have some preliminary special rules for it.

Minor Update

Finally finished something, 2 old school bazuka which I repainted. I even go a bit carried away and made movement bases, movement bases for two figures? hmmm.

I'm continuing to amass hobgoblin models for the army, right now I have my first hobgoblin unit of to 18 with two more coming to bring it to 20. I have also started acquiring models for two 10 hobgoblin warrior units.



The first hobbo warrior unit (the one with 20)  and the 10 hobbo archer unit might be the next ones to work on as they are drawing my interest.



Right now I'm not going that fast as I have been tied up with other things in life, moderator responsibilities, as well as being distracted by the Olympics (lately). however, as I noted in the podcast I do not need to rush now as I'm over 3,000 points already.

Lastly, I've also got 25 Sneaky Gits coming!

For those wondering I have been in a bit of a lull this summer for a number of reasons (Site duties, house work and those darn Olympics!) However there is now a quite formidable horde of models on my poor painting desk that is starting to groan under the weight of it all.

Suffice of to say there is a lot more to come! At least 9-10 more units easy.

I have even started assembling a count as Chaos Dwarf crossbow unit!
