Bas' Scifi Blog (previously called Necromunda Time!) - bas_2312 - 06-21-2012 07:52 PM

Okok, so Bolg keeps telling I should just start a new thread for my Necromunda stuff... So here it is. First a recap from the old thread, and after that some new stuff.

bas_2312 Wrote:
Since I'm distracted once again from working on my Chaos Dwarfs, I decided to change the title of my Halfling Blog to make room for more random stuff.

I wasn't really in the mood for Fantasy, but I was looking forward to painting some more scifi mini's. Re-watching Firefly might have had some influence in that. Well, Bolg has an impressive Necromunda collection, and I am going to start an Escher warband. While waiting for the mini's to arrive (which they just did) I started to work on some scenery. Well, here's the first batch of WIP terrain:

First I started cutting up loads of plasticard into these neat little sets:

And after a little TLC and a whole lot of plastic glue (I think I actually got a little high of the fumes...) this is the result:

What do you guys think? You like it? And have any more suggestions on more terrain? Let me know! Happy

The last few days I've been slowly working on the terrain, and actually finished some, but I didn't get a chance to make decent pics yet.

Yesterday my Escher gang made her debut... and two Gangers immediatly got captured and sent to the Slavers. Good start gals! But the others got to wound a couple of guys so they start getting some experience.

Here's a bad pic of the battle. On the left are some of my Gangers, and on the right is a pile of downed Orlocks! Happy

I'll update with some better pics soon!

RE: Necromunda Time! - zobo1942 - 06-21-2012 07:54 PM

Those are some very good looking cargo containers!

RE: Necromunda Time! - Da Crusha - 06-21-2012 08:12 PM

very cool terrain. I want to start collecting an escher gang. them and delaque are my favorite looking models. you are registered at yakromunda aren't you? the cargo boxes look familiar. Im also on there, I did a lil bit of work on a goliath gang Im converting from marauders.

RE: Necromunda Time! - Animatone - 06-21-2012 09:03 PM

Very cool!

RE: Necromunda Time! - beefcake - 06-21-2012 11:20 PM

Those cargo containers are awesome. How long did it take you to make them?
So perfect as they can be stacked any way you want.

I don't know exactly... Just put on some movies in the background and time flew by ;p

Another day, another update! Last week during the battle Bolg and me noticed that we lacked some small cover and barricades. Well, here's the first part in my quest to fix that problem.

Loads of little crates who can be used seperatly or attached to something else as a barricade. I still have to work out the details but this was a nice start.

RE: Necromunda Time! - Admiral - 06-22-2012 05:24 PM

Excellent scenery! I like the crates and containers and think they're a good terrain choice for Necromunda. I wish GW would give their Specialist games more coverage. After the major Hobbit effort, of course. Lotr needs to regain its place.

RE: Necromunda Time! - beefcake - 06-22-2012 05:29 PM

I'd also like to see specialist games get some more of a look in. Necromunda and Mordheim, definately great games.

I wouldn't count on it... The Necromunda rulebook will even be removed from the online store next month (although you can still get the pdf from the site).

And while I'm working on some more barricade stuff, here's the first painted terrain piece! It's a little unusual, but I finally get the chance to build a scifi vehicle so I have to take it.

So here's my ganger Betsy showing of her shuttle.

And one with flash since I really can't take pics..

So what do you think? What should I name this thing? ;p

RE: Necromunda Time! - beefcake - 06-23-2012 04:52 PM

That is very cool. I like the little bullet holes in the cockpit.

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 06-30-2012 12:59 PM

Another little update!

Last night I was supposed to finish the mini's for the Brush Slave. The only problem was that a Pringles can was standing on my desk and looking very inviting. So here's what I did with it:

I should really paint some of my scenery, but building is so much fun! (but my Brush Slave entry was finished in time!)

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 07-02-2012 02:02 PM

No love for Necromunda on this forum?

Last night I spend some more time working with plasticard and finishing some crates. This is the result:

Up next: A painting marathon to finally finish some of this terrain!

RE: Necromunda Time! - beefcake - 07-02-2012 05:08 PM

Plenty of love for Necromunda from me!! My favourite GW game. That looks great. You've got me wanting to make some up.

RE: Necromunda Time! - Bolg - 07-02-2012 05:44 PM

S-t-u-n-n-i-n-g-!

Oh and undercoat them with a black spray can, then we can use them Wednesday (:

RE: Necromunda Time! - cornixt - 07-02-2012 07:26 PM

All very impressive. You must buy plasticard by the yard!

RE: Necromunda Time! - Mad Dave - 07-02-2012 07:43 PM

Looking awsome dude

RE: Necromunda Time! - Animatone - 07-02-2012 08:19 PM

Some killer stuff there, thanks for posting.

The guy at the local trainshop is very happy with me... ;p

The last few days I've gone through another load of plasticard, and even managed to paint something! So here it is.

I bought GW's excellent Skyshield terrain piece, but of course couldn't stop myself from at least converting it a little bit.

After this I started painting it, but it seemed a waste to use the 'legs' of the platform since then all the most detailed parts would be on a single terrain piece. So I decided to build an underside from scratch. And it all got a little out of hand after that... After 223 rivets I now have this:

I put some magnets inside so the central part of the platform can be some kind of elevator. I really like the look of the pit (and you can see where I started painting this thing):

It might be a little too massive for Necromunda, but I'm having loads of fun building this stuff and that's the most important thing to me Big Grin

What do you guys think? Got any cool ideas for graffiti or posters on my terrain?

RE: Necromunda Time! - Animatone - 07-08-2012 06:37 PM

You are a plasticard wizard my friend awesome stuff! Very cool!

RE: Necromunda Time! - beefcake - 07-08-2012 06:58 PM

That is brilliant. Not too big for necromunda if you use it as a centrepiece . You could have a scenario based around it. Outlanders/Outlaws attacking the guild members who have to escape from in the ship. But the ship is slowly making it's way to the top of the platform. Very cool!!

RE: Necromunda Time! - Da Crusha - 07-08-2012 07:01 PM

it is very cool. what type of plastic card are you using? are you using any special tools?

RE: Necromunda Time! - fairoaks024 - 07-09-2012 06:56 AM

lovely scenery sir!

RE: Necromunda Time! - AGPO - 07-10-2012 04:30 AM

This is some of the best home made scenery I've seen. I can't tell what it makes me want to do more, make a dash for some plasticard and make some of my own, or grab all my Necromunda stuff out of the loft and start gaming! Really well done! Cheers!

One question: I don't suppose you have templates for the crates and shipping containers you'd be willing to share?

Dig up your Necromunda stuff and post some pics!

I don't have any templates. I just work out how large the stuff I want to make can be with the materials I have ;p

Today I'm going to build some scenery with a friend, so I will update this post later tonight with some pictures Happy

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 07-15-2012 01:51 PM

Well AGPO, where are those pics? Wink

I just finished the first two containers and really like the way they turned out, so I wanted to show them off! Happy

So here's Betty with the containers:

And for completeness sake, the first three mini's from my gang who were my Brush Slave entry this month:

Hope you like it!

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 07-31-2012 01:40 PM

No love for the last update? I'll just have to keep trying Wink

So here another update. The last weeks I've been trying to work on the massive landing platform, but with summer finally arriving I didn't got much painting done. But thank the nerd lords as the last couple of days the weather has been terrible (typical Dutch weather...) and I've finished some stuff! So here it is.

The landing platform is finished, except some graffiti here and there.

Here my Gangleader showing of some of the details:

And here are the containers and scaffolding:

And here's where I could use your advice. After the landing platform, I'm left with these things. What could they be used for?

Finally a little sneak peak of my next project.

Thanks for watching! Happy

RE: Necromunda Time! - French_noodle - 07-31-2012 02:28 PM

Very nice. Actually i'm dreaming about playing Necro one this kind of things.

Can you show some more pics of the inside ? Apparently you can play in the structure, but the picture is not obvious about that.

Or maybe it is closed ?

Great anyway.

RE: Necromunda Time! - Blue in VT - 07-31-2012 02:30 PM

Wow that all looks top notch!

I'd love to game with that terrain...and those minis...Happy

RE: Necromunda Time! - Bolg - 07-31-2012 03:27 PM

Looking Good!!  Now I wonder what you will do with those Bulkheads (:

RE: Necromunda Time! - Obsidian Muse - 07-31-2012 03:39 PM

I'm getting rather jealous of your conversion and painting skills. Well done.

RE: Necromunda Time! - Animatone - 07-31-2012 10:02 PM

You are a Necromunda terrain grand wizard! Awesome work! Really looks good even more so now that it's done.

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 08-30-2012 04:47 PM

Not a real update since I haven't been working on my Necromunda scenery (I have some cool plans though!), but I wanted to build something with plasticard and here it is. I really like the way it turned out, you might say it's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

(And a crappy pic from the side to show her body)

Right now she's hanging from my desk lamp, but eventually she'll get some kind of structure to hang in and judge all the gangs on the table ;p

RE: Necromunda Time! - Bolg - 08-30-2012 07:00 PM

_N_E_R_D_!_!_

No but what I actually am saying is: this is so freaking cool!!

The cake is a lie!!

RE: Necromunda Time! - furrie - 08-31-2012 03:40 AM

Awsome, that looks realy great. Now lets run some tests

RE: Necromunda Time! - devlanmud - 08-31-2012 04:49 AM

Fantastic work.

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 11-05-2012 11:21 AM

It's been a while, but we've started a new campaign and it's time for an update. It's hard to fill two Necromunda tables, and we noticed we have a severe lack of obstacles and low terrein. So I've been working on that.

A set of crates, barrels and other stuff. I will probably add some graffiti to this.

And a WIP for another random piece of terrain.

And finally the Gang I'm currently using!

RE: Necromunda Time! - Animatone - 11-05-2012 01:17 PM

Always impressive! Awesome work.

RE: Necromunda Time! - Bassman - 11-05-2012 01:59 PM

Great work again. My compliments!

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 11-21-2012 07:19 PM

Just snapped a couple of shots during a game against Bolg. Unfortunately I forgot to take more pictures since a whole lot of bullets were heading towards my ladies, and my leader Molly didn't survive it... Sad

Here are the ladies taking up position to rob a Delaque warehouse.

Everyone was grabbing cover since the Delaque boys were everywhere.

My Plasmagunner took the high ground to shoot down some Delaqua scum and steal their guns. But she didn't count on a Heavy Stubber seeing her from all across the board...

RE: Necromunda Time! - frogbear - 11-21-2012 11:52 PM

Very nice!

RE: Necromunda Time! - JMR - 11-22-2012 06:35 AM

Wow... just...wow!

It must be great to be able to play on a table like that. I love all the little details such as the posters. They add a level of realism as well as comedy at the same time. Great job!

RE: Necromunda Time! - Singleton Mosby - 11-22-2012 07:06 AM

That looks just completely awesome. Takes Hat off[/align]

RE: Necromunda Time! - Admiral - 11-22-2012 08:40 AM

Very good Necromunda terrain, there! The tabletop is suitably cramped with scenery and it also conveys a sense of grand economy going on.

If I were you I'd try to include something to further this sense (such as a crane or even a monorail or strange railroad, or factory machines). Also I'd try to bring some more 40k into Necromunda with a few more Imperial propaganda posters, something that reminds of the Ministorum or the Redemptionists - say a shrine with candles or a hanged heretic - and maybe some Chaos cultist graffiti.

And maybe even an Ork skull trophy somewhere. Considering the haphazard construction of the whole hive city it could also be cool to include some remnant sections of an ancient Imperial PDF defence line in the middle of some hive city quarter, akin to the stretches of city wall ruins that survive still within some towns and cities today. Slum tents and shacks built with corrugated plates could also fit in there.

As you can see I'm quite inspired and hobby stimulated by your Necromunda scenery (and gang). Takes Hat off

Thanks! I'm working on some new pieces right now that you should really like! Happy But I'm not going to add more 40k since I don't like the grimdark aspect. The plan is to make the table look more like a civilian area than the crumbled cathedral look most 40k scenery has.

And now something I'm really happy with.. so:

This should be a lot easier than cutting all that plasticard Happy

RE: Necromunda Time! - Bolg - 11-30-2012 08:50 PM

I cant say this enough. This is awesome! I love them when they are on the table and more = _better_!

Great use of the molding stuff!

RE: Necromunda Time! - Admiral - 12-01-2012 04:00 AM

It's a mold, right? Or is the container drowning in solid, green goo? Wink

RE: Necromunda Time! - beefcake - 12-02-2012 09:51 PM

Cool!! Is that a solid resin brick? Could I suggest making an insert so that you don't use so much resin? That way you could make probably double the amount with the same amount of resin.

Yeah it's hollow. A solid brick would cost me waaaaaay to much resin to even try this.

RE: Necromunda Time! - beefcake - 12-03-2012 08:24 PM

That's a relief. So are you planning on selling them?

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 01-10-2013 03:54 AM

YOYOYO! I'm B to the A Basracus, and I'm here to de-pimp your ride!

This week I got a call from some Escher girls who wanted to get a little more action in their ride. Of course I was willing to help them out!

CHECK IT OUT!

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 01-13-2013 06:05 PM

Well, noone here likes pimps it seems... Ok, here's a more picture filled update Happy

So I've recently started to work on some Dark Future cars. They're themed to match my Escher gang. Here's the first one (the one from the video above):

And here's another one I just finished:

Hope you guys like this post more than the last one ;p

RE: Necromunda Time! - JMR - 01-13-2013 08:11 PM

I have no idea what on earth this is all about, but I love it!

RE: Necromunda Time! - Bolg - 01-13-2013 08:19 PM

Those girls, i'm impressed!

FREE CANDY!

RE: Necromunda Time! - Skink - 01-14-2013 12:09 AM

I haven't got any bloody idea of what Dark Future is but these are sooooo cool they deserve a show in a contemporary art museum!

RE: Necromunda Time! - Xander - 01-14-2013 12:28 AM

Awesome stuff. I love Necromunda. Well done.

RE: Necromunda Time! - DAGabriel - 01-15-2013 06:26 AM

Am half through with the rules and have decided to plunder the old car box of my son.

RE: Necromunda Time! - Bassman - 01-15-2013 02:43 PM

Why the chicks stuck a piece of street on their van?
This is a real masterpiece, by the way.

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 02-07-2013 10:05 AM

Thanks for the replies guys Happy The game is really fun and easy, but the real fun is in the fact that you get to play with your old toy cars again! ;p

And since our group is about to begin with a new Necromunda campaign my gang needed an update. We all get to take one of our old gangmembers and use them as the leader for our new gang. Since the star of my gang was my Juve Meatshield, she gets to be the new leader. Here's how she looked in the previous campaign:

But she's a little older and wiser now, and of course a leader needs to looks a little more striking, here's Meatshield 2.0!

RE: Necromunda Time! - French_noodle - 02-07-2013 02:57 PM

Hahaha so nice to see Mad Donna back to business ! ^^

Hope she has a very long and violent career, once again, as Meatshield. Girls just wanna have fun, as they say...

Wish the best for your girls Cheers!

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 03-08-2013 10:27 AM

Well, my girls are having fun ;p The great thing about playing a Necromunda campaign is seeing your characters grow. In my first battle I got a free Juve from one of my Settlements and I called her Unstable Mable. Unfortunatly the only thing she did the next battle was to go Out Of Action. But good news, she didn't get any terrible injuries, but she got away with some Horrifying Scars, making her cause fear. This made her twice as cool in my eyes, but the third battle last monday she really got a chance to shine. We played a battle in the dark, which meant only 12" LoS so no heavy shooting, and my gang rules the dark. At the end Unstable Mable killed (really killed, not just out of action) two enemy models, so she earned a little make-over.

After the gangfight she kept talking about how she was born on the darkness and how others only adopted it. She also was tinkering on something to help her deal with her scars..

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 03-18-2013 09:13 AM

No love for Unstable Mable? Aw well...

I've been hard at hard this weekend, and now I can fill a table! It's still looking a little empty, so I can add some more stuff, but it's playable! Happy

RE: Necromunda Time! - Xander - 03-18-2013 09:16 AM

Glad to see you are on Yakromunda now too! Big Grin I've been hanging around there for the past month. It's a pretty sweet place.

Your terrain looks great. Love the crane! Reminds me of an old article in White Dwarf for Inquisitor. Happy

Will you be making a concrete grey board to go underneath all the terrain pieces?

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 05-15-2013 07:08 AM

Ok this is kinda out of place here, but since this is my scifi blog I thought it would fit here the best.

Recently I have been playing the X-wing miniature game, and rediscovering my love for Star Wars. But with the very cool pre-painted mini's I don't really get a chance to personalize my game. Then I came across this idea on another forum, and even though I don't really know how to use it (terrain?) I figured I would steal it. So a search on Ebay and a few days of waiting gave me this:

It seems the last owner used it as a chewtoy for his dog, but that made it a lot cheaper. And gave me more to do ;p

So I fixed the damage and gave it a coat of paint, and now it looks like this:

It's not perfectly in scale, but it looks good enough. And when I put in some batteries it even makes PEWPEW noises! ;p Now I just have to figure out something for a base...

Next step is repainting some of my ships  Happy

RE: Necromunda Time! - bas_2312 - 09-11-2013 11:35 AM

Well, lets try that again! No love for Star Wars, but maybe some for Star Trek?

Just like X-wing, Star Trek now has a very similar game and I really like the variety in the game. The paintjob and overall finishing on the models is pretty bad though, so I gave the models a little extra attention. I really don't know if the colors are totally canon, but I like the way they turned out.

These are the Vor'cha from the starterset and the Negh'var (which originally had a terrible green-metallic paintjob):

Up next are some Romulan ships and the Enterprise-D from the starterset. Let me know if you're interested in more Happy

RE: Bas' Scifi Blog (previously called Necromunda Time!) - The Odor - 09-11-2013 11:45 AM

That big spaceship looks really nice Takes Hat off you could use a trimmed down 40k base for it.

Btw, will you be re-painting the pre-painted starwars ships as well? I like the game but are thinking about doing so. Not sure how exactly as I know next to nothing about starwars.

Yeah, I repainted some of my X-wing ships, but it's not as rewarding as the Star Trek ships since they're pretty good looking as they come.

RE: Bas' Scifi Blog (previously called Necromunda Time!) - bas_2312 - 09-14-2013 03:12 PM

Update with probably the most recognisable of the starterset ships: The Enterprise D!

The paintjob on the original was servicable but I wasn't satisfied with its bluish look. And when I started repainting I couldn't help myself and add a load of details..

Up next: My Romulan fleet!

RE: Bas' Scifi Blog (previously called Necromunda Time!) - bas_2312 - 09-22-2013 07:07 AM

Well, no replies but I'll just keep on spamming.

I have been busy the last week, painting but also playing a couple of games. This is the fleet I'm using, pure Romulans. So far they have worked out great for me.

I also bought a Enterprise because I had so much fun painting its bigger brother. Thought most people dislike its size, I love the way it looks on the table compared to the bigger models. Just wish there would be more small models in the future.

And to finish this post something more random. Bolg sculpted this model and I thought it would fit right in in this topic. Live long and prosper you will, yes, hm...

RE: Bas' Scifi Blog (previously called Necromunda Time!) - Bolg - 09-22-2013 04:56 PM

Love the little enterprise, once the money train comes in I' so going to but that cute little ship too (:

Very cool! Some of the first miniatures wargaming I ever did as a kid was Starfleet Battles...so these are a very nice nostalgic piece for me. How did you do the 'NCC-1701' on the Enterprise? Decal? Stencil?

For the details on the Enterprises I used a fineliner pen. I just don't think I would have enough control with a small brush to write those letters...

And here's another update. Some better pics of my ships, and something else I've been working on...

In an upcoming tournament I should get the cards for the DS9, so it's actually playable!

RE: Bas' Scifi Blog (previously called Necromunda Time!) - Bolg - 09-26-2013 05:27 PM

Hahahahaa I know the scale in Attack Wing is of.. but its going to be hell to fit that on a 40 mm base d:

RE: Bas' Scifi Blog (previously called Necromunda Time!) - Thommy H - 09-26-2013 05:36 PM

I want those starships.

Nerd fact: Scale models of the Enterprise-D often have a weird colour because the original studio model was actually blue-green: when filmed under the lights, that made it appear silver. Since a lot of the merchandise companies study images of the studio models to make their replicas, they quite often render it in those colours, despite how it appeared on camera.

Oh, and the Constitution-class TOS Enterprise is the correct scale next to the bloated Galaxy-class, so I don't know what people are complaining about.

Makes me regret I sold my copy of the game.

I've painted a load more of these mini's the last couple of weeks. The game is so much fun, and I should really restrain myself from buying too much of these mini's.

Here's some new stuff:

The Federation fleet I've been flying:

My Dominion fleet (also my entry for Brush Slave 3 month 1):

An adventure 65 million rivets in the making

Welcome to another edition of Scifi stuff with uncle Bas! ;p

This time no silly Star Trek ships or other nonsense, but good ole 40k stuff.

Although I haven't posted it on this forum, around five years ago with the start of 40k's fifth edition I decided to take the plunge and start a 40k army. Greenskin at heart of course I wanted to play Orks. Orks are green, stompy and get to build crazy vehicles. So I started building my basic army, painting buckets of Boys, but my mind started to wander.. So this happened:

I started to build a Stompa based on my old Epic Gargant:

But I found out I couldn't use it in basic games, and I really missed a challenge in my games of 40k, so I got disinterested in my Orks and sold the army. The Stompa however remained standing on my shelve, looking like this:

A couple of weeks ago I looked at it again, and it really inspired me to work on some Orks/Orcs again. It's the reason I suggested starting a Gorkamorka campaign, the reason for making this, and for getting ready to play with my Fantasy Orcs again. So it's only fitting to finally finish this beast. So a couple of days of work, some plasticard, and waaaay too many rivets, this is where I'm at:

I'll try to finish up this thing somewhere in the next week or two, so expect another update soon (I hope it won't take me another five years).

(And sorry for the long post, but it's way too fun to make a retrospective like this ;p)

By the gods. That's pretty much perfect.

I think you could add a whole flayed pinkskin (like on Mengil Manhide's Manflayers) somewhere about the construct. You certainly understand the need for details over large areas, as evident in all the plates and all the rivets. A hanged grot wouldn't be out of place, either.

Yeah I have a crew of Grotz ready to be added once it's all painted Happy

(and poop, ofcourse the pics are all in the last post on the previous page..)

Add a flayed humie and I'll give you 30 slaves. How about that? Tongue Wink

RE: Bas' Scifi Blog (previously called Necromunda Time!) - Sticklander - 03-24-2014 09:40 AM

That's quite the construction! I imagine it was certainly cheaper than buying the stompa itself?

I guess it was if you calculate material costs, but it took me a lot of time to finish, so in that aspect buying the original kit would've been cheaper and easier.

I hate the way the GW Stompa looks however, I'm more a fan of the square look I tried to emulate on this model.

The mentally challenged cousin of R2D2 sadly never made it to the movies...

Or in other words - super good job!

Lovely Stompa!!! I like it a lot!!!

Scratchbuilt Stompas are amongst my favourite conversion works, have you ever seen the Stompa Potato Head, or the Gundam Stompa?

Just spotted this thread, lots of great modelling in here. That stomps gargant thing must have been a real challenge, your really kicking it gw old school.

Love the necromunda stuff, sold most of mine I think I might have a cawdor gang and deffo still have an Escher gang. My best was a delaque gang leader with bolt gun, I decided one game to randomly spend my dress on a wyrd, and I got a guy who hpgave out a forcefield. Him and the leader were unstoppable that game.

RE: Bas' Scifi Blog (previously called Necromunda Time!) - bas_2312 - 04-24-2014 06:36 AM

Thanks guys! Happy

Now I just have to figure out what to do with a Stompa... ;p

That's why I wanted to play Orks in the first place, you just get to build so much cool stuff! The Potato Stompa is one of my favorite models ever Happy I hadn't seen the Gundam one yet, thanks for the link!

For me skirmish games like Necromunda and Gorkamorka are more about the storytelling and atmosphere than about winning. One of my favorite moments from all the games I played is still when one of my Juves suffered a critical injury and caused terror for the rest of the campaign, just because I got to model this:

Nice painting. I presume she is Bane's wife?

RE: Bas' Scifi Blog (previously called Necromunda Time!) - bas_2312 - 06-22-2014 11:53 AM

Well guys, another season of the Brush Slave is over, and I wanted to end it with a bang. So I put together this team of awesome figures I always wanted to paint:

And here are some close-ups:

The Captain:

The Doctor:

The Psychic:

The Veteran:

The Mercenary:

The Engineer:

The pictures are not the best quality, but you should be used to that by now on this blog ;p

I'll try to bring these guys back as NPCs in our upcoming Gorkamorka campaign, and if I do I will be sure to make some more pics Happy

RE: Bas' Scifi Blog (previously called Necromunda Time!) - bas_2312 - 02-26-2015 08:01 AM

I haven't posted a lot on this site because I haven't really painted any mini's for a while. We have been playing the Gorkamorka campaign, and since it's almost finished I decided to make some pics to show how my mob turned out:

My Trukk has recieved a Big Grabba (Big Squig).

And my Trakk got a Wrecka Ball.

For the end of the campaign I wanted to do something special. We still have a normal final battle planned, but this week we had a race! All mobs on the same track, and to recapture the feeling of playing with cars as a child we played on the ground.

No real love for scifi stuff here, understandably, but I just want to show of some more models Happy

New year means time for a new Gorkamorka campaign, and that means time for some new silly models. So I made a new Ork Trukk:

I also made a little video to show of some more features of the Trukk:

I'd love to see more Trukks like this for the drummer and lead singer...  and another guitarist. This is most excellent!
