First Chaos Dwarf Conversion - Kladgrund - 07-19-2009 05:32 PM

))Good Day Everyone
I've been collecting Dwarfs for a good 8 years now, and have always had the urge to start up a Chaos Dwarf army. I came across this site and it finally pushed me to attempt a conversion. Usually, i would use GS to convert with, but considering i'm broke and had some spare bluetac around, I salvaged what I could.
Couple of unpainted pictures.
After painted. (I got the urge to take the hammer off and add a BIG sword
)
I'm not the best of painters, but these pictures make it look worse than it is.. Honestly!

thin down the beards ab it but othewise you're doing great like the blade though try not get that white paint all over it

Good work for your first conversion, the huge sword works well for the model, you said that you used blue tac to do the beard, is it still soft or has the paint hardened it ?

On some parts it has dried. The beard and the shield have completely set, but the fur on the cape is still a bit soft, and the guard on the sword is terrible. I know blue tac isnt the greatest tool to use but if anyone has some tips i'd gladly listen

A good coat of matt varnish might help to make it solid and protect the other bits, the best bet is to save some money and get some good old gs
